LVMH Group confirms its participation for Baselworld 2020

The LVMH Group has confirmed its participation for Baselworld 2020 within the current framework for its Bvlgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith brands. For 2021 and the following years, Baselworld is collaborating with the Group and its brands on new presentation concepts and formats. Baselworld will support each LVMH brand in the design of innovative exhibition formats for their presence in 2021 and beyond.

 

Dubai targets 3.8% GDP growth in Expo 2020 year.

Dubai is targeting inflation-adjusted growth of 2.1 per cent this year and followed up by 3.8 per cent in the next, on the back of Expo 2020 activities and improved foreign investment inflows. In fact, for next year, the government forecasts foreign investments to touch Dh50 billion from a 15-20 per cent gain over this year. 

The inflow was Dh38.5 billion in 2018. Growth is then expected to ease to 2.8 per cent in 2021, a natural outcome following the one-off spike the economy will get through the better part of 2020. The emirate’s economy grew 1.9 per cent last year. These are based on forecasts put together by Dubai’s Department of Economic Development, one of the key policy-making entities within the government. In a first-quarter update, the numbers are starting to look promising, according to DED statistics. 

 

Fifty One East presents exclusively Tudor’s latest novelties.

Fifty One East and TUDOR hosted an event to present the latest BASELWORLD 2019 models. Watch enthusiasts and collectors of prestigious timepieces attending the event had an exclusive opportunity to explore all 12 new models from TUDOR.  

The presentation was held in a private event on the 23rd of April and it was attended by VIP guests and select media representatives who were amongst the first in the world to discover the new astounding timepieces straight after their release back in March At BASELWORLD 2019.

Swiss watch brand TUDOR made the headlines after unveiling its unexpected Black Bay P01 model, a watch based on a legendary diving watch prototype from the 1960s. Alongside the full 2019 collection, including models like the Black Bay Bronze or the Black Bay Chrono in Steel & Gold, was a selection of vintage TUDOR watches supplied by the TUDOR museum in Geneva and retracing the product history of the brand from 1926 to these days.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Bader Al-Darwish, Chairman and Managing Director of Fifty One East, said: “We are proud to celebrate another milestone with TUDOR, presenting their new collection right after BASELWORLD 2019. Van Cleef & Arpels is collaborating with Tashkeel for the 6th edition of the Middle East Emergent Designer Prize 2019.
