This November, Sotheby’s will offer a unique example of the Patek Philippe 1518 Reference which broke new horological ground when it was first introduced in 1941. The M.A.D.House opens its doors
The universe of MB&F is growing. In the autumn of 2022, while opening the world’s first MB&F LAB in Singapore and preparing for a second LAB in Paris, the MB&F team was also busying itself with a matter slightly closer to home - the new M.A.D.House in Geneva. For years, the MB&F offices had been split over two locations. There was the M.A.D.Gallery on Rue Verdaine in the heart of Geneva’s old town. Then, there was the main workshop address on Boulevard Helvétique,a few minutes away from the M.A.D.Gallery on foot. But both the M.A.D.Gallery and the Boulevard Helvétique offices were getting fuller and fuller. MB&F moved into the M.A.D.House in late 2022, filling the century-old house with activity, creativity and just the right dose of insanity. Six months later in 2023, the brand officially opens its doors to welcome visitors, friends of MB&F and other mad pilgrims. |

Presenting Fleurette Collection by Van Cleef & Arpels
Drawing its origin from the creative history of Van Cleef & Arpels, the Fleurette collection motif shines with seven round diamonds that form a delicate corolla. It is now reinventing itself in a new marriage between the soft warmth of rose gold and the brilliance of diamonds. Illuminating the hollow of the neckline, as well as the hand and face, the four new creations adorn the silhouette with a timeless elegance. Composed of seven round stones brought together in a scintillating corolla, this emblematic motif of Van Cleef & Arpels’ jewelry shines in a quartet imbued with elegant simplicity. The stones are set in such a way as to diffuse a luminous halo across the skin, giving the flower a subtle refinement. |

Buccellati presents the 'Macri Bombé' mini-collection
Buccellati has presented the 'Macri Bombé' mini-collection: a reinterpretation and evolution of this refined design with original lines and a slight curvature of the gold surface, which retains the 'rigato' engraving and the rhythmic presence of brilliant diamonds. The mini-collection is now composed of various bracelets, with band heights of 5mm or 8mm, in various combinations of gold, in the purest Buccellati tradition. We therefore find the yellow or pink gold of the band combined with the white gold of the bezels. The 'Macri Bombé' thus joins the varied proposal of this line, from the 'Macri Classica' with a flat band to the 'Macri' with a slightly curved high band, from the 'Macri Giglio' with openwork floral decorations to the 'Macri AB' with applied geometric elements. |

Louis Vuitton and Rexhep Rexhepi launches the LVRR-01 Chronographe à Sonnerie
Following the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives announced in early 2023, Louis Vuitton is embarking on a series of collaborative timepieces with renowned independent watchmakers, with the inaugural project being the LVRR-01 Chronographe à Sonnerie born from the collaboration between Atelier Akrivia and Louis Vuitton. Embodying the essence of both Maisons, the LVRR-01 is a double-faced chronograph with a chiming complication – true statement in the watch industry – powered by a completely new tourbillon movement developed from the ground up by Atelier Akrivia and its founder Rexhep Rexhepi in a redesigned Louis Vuitton Tambour case. Eberhard & Co. presents Scientigraf Chrono
The watch is a chronograph version of the famous anti-magnetic Scientigraf model launched in 1961, whose technical and aesthetic characteristics are enhanced by the presence of two counters. From an aesthetic point of view, the Scientigraf Chrono retains its retro appeal: on the black dial, the two counters stand out (decorated with a refined azuré finish) and the triangle element, which appears in many details (such as the hour markers, proposed in ivory or orange, or the tips of the hour and counter hands). The 41 mm steel case, which contains the Faraday cage, alternates between polished and satin-brushed finishes, while the screw-locked case-back bears the original design of the model launched in 1961, with the logo and inscription recalling the anti-magnetic tests carried out at the time in the dedicated facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds. |
