Breitling to open a new regional office in the Middle East.

In a recent visit to Dubai, as part of his international tour, Georges Kern, newly appointed CEO of Breitling, outlined his vision and strategy for Breitling globally and in the Middle East region.

Kern emphasised on his mission to foster the global development of Breitling and the further development of Breitling’s digital and retail footprint, in particular with a view to accelerating growth in the important Asia markets. The plans of establishing a new regional office of the brand in Dubai and the opening of a new boutique at Dubai Mall was part of the brands strategy for the Middle East.  

 

Richard Mille and McLaren will present their first timepiece at the 88th Geneva Motor Show.

Richard Mille and McLaren Automotive will reveal their first limited-edition timepiece at the 88th Geneva Motor Show on March 7. With a focus on materials, details and design, the long-awaited watch from the partnership will incorporate design features from McLaren cars as well as lightweight technologies, reflecting the brands’ values whilst being both aesthetic and functional.

Speake-Marin new ad campaign with Pierce Brosnan

For the 4th consecutive year, Speake-Marin signed an agreement with Mr Pierce Brosnan as the international Brand Ambassador. A photo shoot to promote the brand’s One & Two Openworked timepiece showed the actor in leathers posing with a motorcycle. The “One & Two” Openworked model features the SMA01 Calibre, which is both slim and performant by integrating the micro automatic mass flush with the bridges.

Casio kicks off with G-SHOCK’s 35th Anniversary MEA Tour in UAE

Casio Middle East had kicked-off with a long road-show style tourin the Middle East and Africa (MEA) covering major Arab countries starting from the UAE as a kick-off market. Top executives from Casio Middle East and Casio Japan, led by Managing director Koji Naka, graced the kick-off celebration held at On42 in Media One Hotel on February 28, 2018 alongside influencers, personalities and rappers.

Georg Jensen, flagship brand of AW Rostamani Lifestyle, recently opened the doors to its new boutique on the 1st floor of the Fashion Avenue at The Dubai Mall giving visitors the opportunity to closely discover the luxury design house’s inventive collections and pieces. 

 

F. A. Lange Watchmaking Excellence Award 2017

On 16 January 2018, the Frenchman Timothé Raguin, winner of the F. A. Lange Watchmaking Excellence Award 2017, received the first prize worth EUR 10,000 at a press event in Geneva. The jury of the international competition was particularly impressed by his work. The regulator with its excellent quality and 24-hour display also has a jumping second - a mechanism that would surely have impressed Walter Lange as well.

 

GJEPC leads a strong Indian contingent at Hong Kong International show

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), presented India Pavilion at 5th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl show started from 27 February to 3rd March 2018 at AsiaWorld-Expo and at 35th Hong Kong International Jewellery Show from ¬1st to 5th March, 2018 at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

Bulgari unveils Octo L'Originale Chronograph

The case and dial of the two reference watches in the Octo line are made from this metal. The three-hand version is equipped with a mechanical self-winding movement, Calibre BVL 191 Solotempo, driving the hours, minutes, seconds and date functions. It has a 42-hour power reserve. Integrated rubber strap with folding clasp in DLC-coated (Diamond like Carbon) steel. 

 

Montegrappa - the elephant in your pocket

Montegrappa presents a new limited edition of 50 exclusive rollerball pens, featuring an original drawing signed by Ted Scapa. The pen itself is made in delicately-pearlised white resin used for the cap and green for the barrel. The trim is polished stainless steel, further enriched by colourful red and white resin rings crowning the pen cap, barrel-end and mid-section.

Phillips to offer Elvis Presley’s Omega wristwatch to be sold during Geneva Watch Auction

Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo announces the sale of a historically important Omega wristwatch, once belonging to Elvis Presley. A highlight of Geneva Watch Auction: SEVEN taking place on 12 and 13 May, this exceptional timepiece, which was owned and worn by the rock and roll icon, was gifted to him in 1961 by RCA Records to commemorate his remarkable achievement of having sold 75 million records.

 

Hong Kong International Jewellery show opens at HKCEC

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 35th Hong Kong International Jewellery Show started its five-day run (1-5 March) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). This year’s show welcomes more than 2,580 exhibitors from 39 countries and regions, including new exhibitors from Lebanon, Sweden and Ukraine, showcasing finished fine jewellery. 

The fifth Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show opened on Tuesday (27 February) at the AsiaWorld-Expo, where an assortment of jewellery raw materials is on offer until Saturday (3 March).

On the occasion of Fashion Week, the model Natalia Vodianova, wore the new collection of High Jewellery Les Mondes de Chaumet. The first stop, Promenades Imperiales, in homage to Russia. Earrings in white and pink gold, set with an oval-cut Padparadscha sapphire weighing 1, 71 carats from Madagascar, an oval-cut Padparadscha sapphire weighing 1, 52 carats from Ceylan, and marquise and brilliant-cut diamonds. 

 

Celebrities shine in Messika Jewelry at Grammy Awards NYC

The rapper and Grammy nominee Cardi B wore Messika Paris asymmetrical Mata Hari earrings and cuff, along with the emerald-cut diamond Madison cuff. The singer Camila Cabello scintillated during her performance with the Madeleine earrings and double ring.
