Introducing DATOGRAPH HANDWERKSKUNST by A. Lange & Söhne
Following the relaunch of the brand, A. Lange & Söhne presented their first chronograph, the DATOGRAPH, 25 years ago. In the latest model, the unique alliance of technical complexity and expressive design is enriched with further exceptional elements, created by the artisanal finishers’ hands. The limited HANDWERKSKUNST edition boasts rare and exceedingly sophisticated dial and movement decorations. The black-rhodiumed main dial as well as the rhodiumed, light-grey totalisers of the DATOGRAPH HANDWERKSKUNST feature an ornate tremblage engraving, resulting in a three-dimensional structure with subtle light reflexions. For this technique, the engraver uses a specially crafted lining burin to create a fine-grained surface. |

Angelus introduces Chronodate Titanium, Magnetic Silver Edition
Angelus has introduced a new shade of its self-winding chronograph with peripheral date. Chronodate welcomes the silver-grey "Magnetic Silver" in a tone-on-tone effect. The harmonious blend between titanium case, titanium bracelet or black rubber strap, rhodium-plated hands and the dial surface creates a technical monochrome impression. This grey continues into black, revealing the movement container and then the carbon composite push-pieces. This black ensemble culminates in the two counters, one a 30-minute chronograph totaliser and the other with a small seconds. Chronodate is a fusion of two different styles: Angelus, the historic brand and its Swiss watchmaking heritage, and Angelus, the technical, modern brand with a penchant for complications. |

The L’Epée 1839 X MB&F Albatross
After 10 years and 15 different clocks, the L’Epée 1839 X MB&F Albatross is by far the most technically audacious co-creation by the two companies. Totalling a whopping 1520 components, Albatross features a striking hour function – chiming both the specific hours on the hour and a single strike on the half-hour – and an automaton composed of 16 pairs of propellers that launch into action every hour. The clock’s technical specifications are impressive: 1520 components, 17kg, 60cm long by 60cm high and 35cm wide. The aircraft springs into action as the clock strikes the hours and prepares for take-off with its 32 rotating propellers that whirl for about seven seconds. Inside the aircraft are two movements and two winding systems; one powers the time and striking hour, thanks to two separate barrels, while the other provides the energy for the propellers, powered by a third barrel. |

Perrelet presents two new models at the Geneva Watch Days
On the occasion of the Geneva Watch Days, Perrelet has presenting two new creations in a delicate ice blue shade: “Turbine Carbon Ice Blue” and “Turbine Titanium Ice Blue”. Firstly, the turbine, which is a fundamental component of hydroelectric power stations and is also the undisputed star of the dials that have been identifying the "Turbine" collections since 2009. This is followed by a striking and bold aesthetic, dressed in an ice blue shade. A colour that evokes high mountains and water in all its forms: snow, ice, frost, creating a sense of peace and relaxation. Both timepieces are powered by the in-house P-331-MH automatic calibre, which beats at a frequency of 28.800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a 42-hour power reserve when not worn. |
