Fifty One East debuts its New Watches & Jewellery Store in Doha Festival City
Fifty One East, Qatar’s favourite department store, debuted its new concept, Watches & Jewellery, in Doha Festival City. The new store brings Fifty One East’s impeccable signature experience beyond its home at Lagoona Mall and is part of its expansion strategy to enhance its presence in key areas across Qatar, providing luxury services and easy access to its discerning clientele. The opening ceremony held on June 20, 2022, was attended by Mr. Bader Al-Darwish, Chairman and Managing Director of Fifty One East, discerning clientele and media representatives. Following the ribbon-cutting, all guests had the opportunity to tour the store, exploring a variety of dedicated sections and new collections from highly desirable brands. |

Christie’s announces its new Joaillerie Paris online sale
Christie’s is pleased to present its new Joaillerie Paris online sale. From 23 June to 7 July, Christie's France Jewellery Department is offering a finely curated selection of coloured stones, diamonds and vintage pieces designed by the greatest names in jewellery (Belperron, Boivin, Boucheron, Bulgari, Cartier, Chaumet, Jean Fouquet, JAR, Seaman Schepps and Van Cleef & Arpels). The estimates for the 290 featured lots with often prestigious provenance, range from €1,000 to €300,000. Spanning the recent history of jewellery, the sale features a selection of pieces from the 19th and early 20th centuries up to the 80’s. Following the success of July 2021, setting a new world record for a Jean Fouquet necklace (€980,000) the Jewellery department is thrilled to announce that Christie’s has been entrusted with the sale of Jean Fouquet’s personal collection comprising jewellery from the Art Nouveau period up to the 1950s, and featuring major Art Deco pieces. |

Chopard, Official Timekeeper, on the starting line of the 1000 Miglia 2022
For the 35th consecutive year, Chopard is once again the world sponsor and official timekeeper to the 40th edition of the historic 1000 Miglia car race, which took place from 15 to 18 June 2022. Launched in 1927 with 77 participants, in 2022, the illustrious race, widely regarded as the most beautiful in the world, saw 404 cars made by 63 car manufacturers on the starting line in Brescia. After last year’s return to the anti-clockwise route that was often used in the original event, the cars in 2022 travelled the 1,609 km (1,005 Roman miles) route in a clockwise direction. As is the case every year since 1988, during an exclusive dinner held at the Albereta Hotel the day before the race, Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, along with Jacky Ickx, unveiled a duo of stunning watches to commemorate the event in the form of the Mille Miglia 2022 Race Editions. |

ZENITH unveils a new Capsule Collection at VIVA TECH 2022

Bianchet as first Official Watch & Timing Partner of Polo Rider Cup 2022
From June 8 to 18, the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly welcomed the world's polo elite with 14 of the greatest international clubs from all over the world, and some of the best players in the world for 10 days of intense competition. Louis Moinet presents SUPER MOON
This modern timepiece aims to combine the visionary talent of the inventor of the chronograph and high frequency with contemporary architectural work. The dial depicts the first extra-terrestrial view of the Moon, as provided by Apollo 8 in 1968. The engraving results from hand-crafted hammering creating pleasing contrasts on the lunar surface. The finish features two light and dark tones resulting from light brushing performed after nickel-plating the dial. It has an opening between 8 o'clock and 12 o'clock, revealing each beat of its exclusive calibre including the escapement operating at a rate of 28,800 vibrations/hour, as well as the off-centre seconds hand. Everything is arranged to ensure that the eye loses nothing of intricate workings of this SUPER MOON watch. |

MB&F launches LM FlyingT Tiger Eye
The 14th year of MB&F unveiled a new avenue of horological exploration, an evolution of creative horizons for founder and company alike: the Legacy Machine FlyingT, first launched in 2019, is the first of MB&F’s three-dimensional horological art pieces dedicated to women. A round case in gold or platinum, with a steeply cambered bezel and slender, elongated lugs, often fully set with diamonds. A high, extravagantly convex dome of sapphire crystal rises from the bezel. Beneath the dome, a subtly curved dial plate in various finishes: liquidly black with layers of stretched lacquer, guilloche, vibrant gemstones or glittering with blazing white diamonds. An asymmetric ventricular opening in the dial plate frames the heart of the LM FlyingT engine – a cinematic flying tourbillon that beats at a serene rate of 2.5Hz (18,000vph). The tourbillon projects high above the rest of the engine, a kinetic, dynamic column that stops just short of the apex of the sapphire crystal dome. |

Laurent Ferrier introduces Classic Traveller Magnetic Green
This new version of the Classic Traveller with dual time zones features a polished titanium case with a gracefully sunburst magnetic-green dial and a forest-green nubuck strap. In line with previous editions, this Classic Traveller Magnetic Green “Série Atelier” is produced in a limited edition of just 15 pieces. The first striking element is the watch’s overall balance and harmony. The gentleness of the dial is enhanced by a graceful shade of green. A central sunburst electrifies the mineral nuances of the dial.
