Breitling is the Official Timing Sponsor of the Dubai Airshow 2023. This is the fifth consecutive time the Swiss luxury watch brand has partnered with the Dubai aviation trade event, following successful partnerships in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021. The Airshow, which is one of the largest and most successful events of its kind in the world, will take place from the 13th to the 17th of November at Dubai World Central (DWC). Breitling has three collections in its Air universe, each inspired by the brand’s pioneering aviation heritage and created for the aerial adventurers. The collections include Navitimer, known as the iconic Pilot’s watch; the Avenger – a bold and extremely robust watch that’s built for fighter pilots; and Classic Avi, inspired by Breitling’s original co-pilot watch and legendary aircraft. |

Piaget 50 Years of Brilliance - Limelight Gala
In 1973, Limelight Gala was not yet known as Limelight Gala. The collection was only given the name retrospectively, in view of its extraordinary history. From the moment it was created, the watch was caught in a whirlwind of receptions, parties, balls, dinners and galas. In 2023, Limelight Gala still has all the charisma, the powerful aesthetics, the couture extravagance and the innovative refinement of its Seventies predecessors. The bracelet is crafted from strands of gold woven into a Milanese mesh, guaranteeing a smooth finish and a second-skin feel. It is sculpted - sometimes like a chain, sometimes like the finest flowing fabric. On the dial, there is still an explosion of colour, while the bezel is generously wrapped in perfectly matched stones. Malachite, lapis lazuli, or kaleidoscopic opal are trimmed with white diamonds. Enamel and sapphires shine in shades of blue and green. |

Greubel Forsey unveils its 8th Fundamental Invention: the Tourbillon Cardan
For many years, Greubel Forsey has been working on the development of a new type of tourbillon. Over the past three years, this tourbillon has transitioned from concept to reality and is now unveiled as the 8th Fundamental Invention of the Atelier. The Tourbillon Cardan is designed to reach new heights of chronometric precision. It combines three principles. The first: the tourbillon. The mechanism patented by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1801 was designed to compensate for the differences in rate, in vertical positions. While most tourbillons have a revolution of 60 seconds, that of the 8th Fundamental Invention is almost four times faster. Just 16 seconds. This is the fastest yet for a Greubel Forsey tourbillon. It moves through more positions in less time, and therefore offers much a higher average performance. |

Naissance D'une Montre 3 - Act IV by Ferdinand Berthoud
A year ago, Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud revealed the diversity of talents associated with the Naissance d'une Montre 3 project, a timepiece with an entirely hand-developed fusee-and-chain transmission, the first of which is slated for launch in 2025. Today, for the very first time, part of its aesthetic is revealed through its display: a new dial and hands, inspired by the work of the Master Horologist. The hours and minutes displays are off-centred on a single, hand-engraved 18-carat gold dial providing both indications between 1 and 2 o'clock – the former expressed by Roman numerals and the latter by Arabic numerals. In the same spirit, their associated hands are also differentiated: the minutes hand features a bevelled tip and the hours hand ends in an arrow. Nearly two days' work are required to produce the hours hand alone, involving no fewer than 54 separate micromechanical operations for the actual making, followed by 13 decoration operations. |
