SIHH ends with a successful record edition with over 23,000 visitors.

The 29th Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie ended last Thursday after a highly successful four days with over 23,000 visitors. Millions of views across social media, new audiences, fabulous watches and a packed programme of keynotes and panels were only some of this year’s highlights. In an ultra-connected world where experience and innovation count, the Salon's new formula delivered on all its missions in making Fine Watchmaking more desirable than ever according to the post show report released by the organizers.

Former Richemont Group executives create a new independent watch brand.

Ten former Richemont Group executives, who have worked for prestigious firms such as Cartier, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin and Baume & Mercier, have decided to join forces to create a new independent watch brand together: Riskers.
 
Riskers is above all a human adventure, driven by talents with a strong expertise and a long experience, whose ambition is to put people at the core.  
 

Gucci announces reopening of Mall of the Emirates store.

Gucci announce the reopening of its store in Mall of The Emirates. The store spans 8933 square feet, and houses a full array of Women’s and Men’s RTW, Décor, Fine Jewelry, and Accessories: luggage, handbags, shoes, small leather goods, eyewear, watches and fashion jewelry.
 

Boucheron reopens its boutique at 26 Place Vendome.

On the occasion of the reopening of the historic Boucheron boutique at 26 Place Vendôme, François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of Kering, and Hélène Poulit-Duquesne, Chairwoman and CEO of Boucheron, had the pleasure of hosting a very special dinner for the Maison's close friends.

It was at this historic address, the cradle of Boucheron creations and a genuine family home, that they welcomed Salma Hayek, Laetitia Casta, Léa Seydoux, Zhou Dongyu, and other friends of the Maison.

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, the apex body of the Gem & Jewellery Industry in India, is organizing India Pavilion at the Vicenzaoro Winter 2019 started from 18th – 23rd January 2019. Covering a total area of 355 sqm, this year India Pavilion has 19 exhibitors, showcasing their exquisite collection of Jewellery pieces and Loose Stones at Hall no. 3.0 and Hall no. 3.1 respectively.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02T Tourbillon Nanograph movement features a carbon composite hairspring. The dial are decorated with a sandblasted and fine-brushed hexagon pattern The case retains the modular 45mm case of other models, presented here in black PVD-coated titanium, with a carbon bezel with tachymeter scale and lugs in the same lightweight material. The design is mostly black with several yellow accents – also found on the integrated leather strap.
 

Breitling launches the Navitimer 1 B01 Chronograph 43 Pan Am Edition.

Breitling recently launched its first capsule collection – the Navitimer 1 Airline Editions – celebrating the brand’s important role in the golden era of aviation and some of the most emblematic airlines of that time. The Navitimer 1 Airline Edition watches are powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01. The Pan Am Edition has a stainless-steel case with a blue dial, silver subdials, and a vintage-inspired brown leather strap, a Breitling Air Racer bracelet, or a stainless-steel mesh bracelet.

Frederique Constant Art Déco come-back to celebrate 2019.

Frederique Constant introduces four new timepieces to the most subtly feminine collection of the brand reflecting a perfect elegant silhouette. The Lange 1 was the first watch of the new era and has been A. Lange & Söhne’s undisputed icon for 25 years. This is why the manufactory is celebrating the anniversary of the award-winning watch with a “25 th Anniversary” edition in white gold limited to 250 timepieces. Its special features include a deep-blue printed argenté dial with a recess, blue date numerals, and a hinged cuvette with an engraving of Lange’s headquarters and a hand-engraved balance cock with blued lines. 
 

L’Epée 1839 introduces Time Fast D8

L’Epée 1839 has unveiled Time Fast D8, a modern mechanical clock with an 8-day power reserve that takes its design cues from vintage race cars. The timepiece features a number of eye-catching details, such as the long protruding engine hood, the typical 1950s radiator grill, the large spoked wheels, the driving seat positioned to the rear and the sloping back section. A figure sits in the cockpit, where a glass dome, or rather a driver’s helmet, highlights the thrumming escapement.
