Watches and Wonders Geneva announces 100% digital Salon in 2021

In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Exhibitor Committee has decided to cancel the physical Salon that would have been held at Palexpo from April 7 to 13, 2021. The decision, taken in close consultation with the principal stakeholders, is seen as the most responsible course of action, given the current health crisis and uncertainties as to how the situation may evolve. In order to ensure business continuity, the decision has also been taken to ramp up the fair’s digital component and roll out an upgraded version of the watchesandwonders.com platform that was successfully introduced in April this year.

For the first time, the HM3 engine is showcased in all its glory, used here in its MegaWind iteration that trades the date display for an expanded rotor. Two paper-thin domes, milled out of aluminium to be as light as possible, indicate the hours and minutes, rotating under markers designed to resemble the lateral pupils of a frog’s eyes. Super-LumiNova accents, like the vivid colours that nature endows upon its feistiest creatures, reveal themselves in fluorescing segments under the rotor and on the time-display domes.

Presenting the new Serpent Bohème Turquoise pieces by Boucheron

A Middle East Exclusive, the three novelties are offered in yellow gold with stunning Turquoise stones, complemented with diamonds. The new pieces are a beautiful extension of the Serpent Bohème line, which has showcased the Maison’s craftsmanship since 1968. Although over the last fifty years the motif has undergone some changes, leaving behind the precious drop crowned with gold beads, playing with materials and the ways in which it is worn, sometimes exchanging its diamond paving for a new set of colored stones - turquoise, lapis lazuli or white mother-of-pearl, its spirit has remained the same. Serpent Bohème has evolved from bracelet to ear jewelry, from ring to timepiece, and charming headband, but has always retained the aura of mystery that surrounds women of character. Choosing Serpent Bohème means choosing a powerful, protective talisman that embraces femininity.
