Hermes Group sales increase by 18% during 2015

The Hermès group recorded sales of 4,841 million Euros, an increase of 18% during its 2015 financial year. The steady improvement in sales registered by the group’s shops is attributable to growth in all geographical areas, despite a mixed environment. Operating profit amounted to 1,541 million an increase of 19%. Hermès has continued with the qualitative development of its distribution channel. 

 

LVMH 1Q Jewellery & Watch revenue rises

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s watch and jewellery business group recorded revenue growth of 7 percent in the first quarter. Bulgari’s positive performance was driven by the success of the company’s connected smartwatch. With sales of $884.1 million (EUR 774 million), watches and jewellery was the luxury group’s joint fastest-growing business group by revenue in the first quarter of 2016.

 

Dubai Airport passengers’ numbers hit 6.3m in February

Dubai International recorded 6.9 per cent increase in passenger numbers in February, according to a statement from operator Dubai Airports. The airport saw 6.3 million passengers in February compared to 5.9 million in the same month a year earlier. Dubai International is the world’s busiest airport for international passengers and home to the rapidly expanding Emirates. Total passenger numbers in the first two months of the year have risen 6.5 per cent to 13.7 million.

Jewellery Arabia Kuwait 2016, Kuwait’s premier international jewellery and watch exhibition, will be officially inaugurated under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Homoud Al-Sabah, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs in Kuwait at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa on Saturday 23 April 2016. The exhibition runs until Tuesday 26 April 2016.
