Dubai Airports traffic during the festive season

During the festive season, hundreds of thousands of travelers were reunited with family and loved ones. At the heart of it all Dubai International (DXB), the world’s most connected and biggest international airport, was primed for peak season and facilitated a diverse range of offerings during the holiday season. DXB welcomed an estimated 4.4 million passengers through its doors between December 15 and December 31, with the average total daily traffic reaching 258,000. As Dubai continues to cement itself as a popular destination during the winter, a surge in arrivals was anticipated during the last two weekends of the year, with half a million passengers – mainly comprising point to point traffic, expected to arrive over six days from December 22 to 24, and from December 29 to 31. Whether departing to go home for the holidays, arriving in Dubai to celebrate the festive season or simply passing through, Dubai Airports aims to provide guests with a truly memorable experience.

Meet Chopard’s Artisans Team

Any quest to flirt with the impossible, to create the most perfect possible timepieces and jewellery sets, necessarily begins with full mastery of the creative and production processes. Such was the intention of Chopard Co-Presidents Caroline and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, and of their parents before them, in gradually developing the workshops and integrating all the skills required to achieve excellence: from gold smelting to gemsetting, from movement decoration to surface polishing, from Grand Feu enamelling to the workshops where the Grand Complications are created. Not to mention an unfailing determination to transmit these skills to future generations, in line with Chopard’s commitment to develop its apprenticeship school. A visit to the Maison’s Haute Joaillerie workshops provides a golden opportunity to discover the different stages in the creation of the most beautiful of all.

The new BR 01 CYBER SKULL SAPPHIRE ICE BLUE by Bell & Ross

The new BR 01 CYBER SKULL SAPPHIRE ICE BLUE is the latest member in the BR 01 Cyber Skull collection of rare watches. In art and watchmaking, the skull motif is well known as an expression of the philosophical theme of vanity, associated with the passing of time, life and death. This skull is also a tribute to the special forces units for which Bell & Ross designs and develops instrument timepieces. If boldness had to have a colour, it would be blue for sure. The meaning of the colour blue has changed several times over the centuries. In modern times, it has become a symbol of nature and purity. For a new exceptional execution, it is this fresh ice blue tone, a bold and unusual colour in fine watchmaking, which was chosen to adorn the central part of the dial. Meticulously made in galvanised brass and blue PVD, it is the true face of the BR 01 CYBER SKULL SAPPHIRE ICE BLUE.

Franck Muller introduces Giga Tourbillon Vienne

The result is an ode to elegance that combines history, art and fine watchmaking to create three exceptional timepieces. Together they capture the essence of Vienna’s graceful lines, intricate floral patterns and refined architecture. Housed in a distinctive Curvex CX case, the emblematic Giga Tourbillon has been fully redesigned and manufactured with a completely new movement, showcasing meticulous attention to details for every component, underlining Franck Muller’s commitment to craftsmanship and exceptional horological technique. To mark the occasion, Franck Muller Watchland hosted an exclusive dinner at the Schloss Schönbrunn, in Vienna, to celebrate the launch of these distinctive timepieces.

Bernhard Lederer presents the Central Impulse Chronometer 'InVerto'

The Central Impulse Chronometer 'InVerto' series reveals Bernhard Lederer’s ingenious invention with a grand premiere: the mechanism has been turned over to present a front view from the dial side; allowing a full view of the movement’s ingenuity and architecture while the watch is worn. What has traditionally been kept invisible at the back now takes center stage at the front. Instead of a dial, the entire mechanism is exposed, leaving no part concealed. Collectors of this exceptional creation will enjoy the experience of reading time directly off the movement. Connoisseurs of Bernhard Lederer's craftsmanship will recognize his signature touch. His decades-long dedication to the art of watchmaking is driven by a passion for sharing the intricate workings of his creations with collectors.
