The move comes after a period of strong growth for this young, independent watch company. The company’s new standalone building in La-Chaux-de Fonds, a hub of Swiss watchmaking, houses a large, light-filled room with windows on three sides overlooking the surrounding greenery. It is the inspiring workspace for a growing team of watchmakers tasked with fulfilling Czapek’s surging order book. How this was achieved in a few years is the remarkable story of a young brand that strategically defied the odds in a competitive market. For a new watchmaker, reaching the five year mark is crucial.

Greubel Forsey unveils Tourbillon 24 Secondes Architecture

Greubel Forsey launches a brand new calibre that is unlike any other timepiece ever created: The Tourbillon 24 Secondes Architecture. Its case is wholly atypical, its construction purposeful, its components sculptural, their mechanical interplay kinetic and the movement – simply spectacular. This new Greubel Forsey calibre within a new convex conical frustrum case shape represents a complete departure from traditional movement construction and aesthetics and brings an architectural experience to the wrist. While the case looks perfectly round when observed from the dial side, it reveals its convex shape from other angles, along with its large synthetic sapphire crystal ring which envelopes the entire periphery of the caseband.

Chaumet presents the limited-edition Hortensia Eden à la folie jewellery watch

Maison Chaumet presents the limited-edition Hortensia Eden à la folie jewellery watch, available exclusively in the Middle East. Inspired by the Maison’s treasured floral motifs, the Hortensia Eden à la folie watch is a genuine time-telling jewel. Available exclusively in the Middle East, this jewellery timepiece features a rose gold dial decorated with hydrangeas, voluminously rendered as if engraved. A poetic and feminine tribute to Empress Joséphine and her passion for botany.

Presenting the original and spectacular ONLY INDIA by Louis Moinet

The original and spectacular ONLY INDIA is a one-of-a-kind creation representative of Indian culture. It notably features a unique Martian meteorite, Shergotty, which fell to Earth on 25 August 1865 near Sherghati, in the state of Bihar, India. Ateliers Louis Moinet are proud to pay tribute to this country through an authentic horological work of art. The dial base is made from a real peacock feather, giving it a natural iridescent effect. The peacock is the national bird of India because of the rich traditions it evokes. For thousands of years, it has been considered a symbol of immortality and fertility.  The hand-engraved applique represents 20 spokes of the eternal wheel of the law of Dharma, embodied by the Ashoka chakra found on the Indian flag. The sense of movement suggested by the wheel is highlighted by the micro-painting delicately applied to the different spokes and in the centre of the engraving.

Carl F. Bucherer presents the Manero Peripheral BigDate

The striking contemporary timepiece is equipped with the brand’s caliber CFB A2011, an automatic mechanical movement with a peripheral rotor. The Manero Peripheral BigDate was created for women and men who will appreciate the eye-catching dial distinguished by its contrasting small-seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. The effect is complemented by a power reserve indicator at three o’clock, a day-of-the-week aperture at 9 o’clock, and, finally, the feature that gives the watch its name: the big date window at 10 o’clock.

L’Epée’s Space Clock is a horological call to interstellar cooperation

Inspired in shape by the historic lunar landers from NASA, the Space Clock’s aluminium body houses an eight-day movement driving a mechanical animation underneath the dome of the ship. Capturing the spirit of interplanetary adventure as a machine designed to fly among the stars, it also seeks to remind us all just how human we are. The playful seesaw animation on the top of the fuselage depicts a scene of child-like innocence, two astronauts gleefully bouncing and spinning around, working together and having a blast. A different configuration finds an interspecies pair as an astronaut and alien face each other still another configuration depicts a flying saucer and fighter jet flying around under the dome.

AEROWATCH launches “Spider Skeleton” pocket watch

In its watch collections, the family-owned AEROWATCH enterprise has always taken inspiration from its rich heritage with pocket watches. The latest pocket watch was crafted with the “Spider Squelette” wristwatch in mind, a model that sold out rapidly. With the “Spider Squelette” pocket watch, AEROWATCH has departed from the conventional approach and veritably lets the spider escape from the pocket. The result is a pocket watch that forms a symbiosis between the classic and the modern facets, reflecting the trend toward pocket watches with that special extra. A new aspect not seen before in pocket watches is the cambered crystal and the sapphire caseback. Since sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant, it gives the Spider pocket watch an everyday robustness which matches that of a wristwatch.

Hegid presents Celeste watch in collaboration with Hervet

Hegid has announced its first horological collaboration. For reasons of taste, affinity and proximity, Jérôme Coste, Hegid's Artistic Director, has invited his talented friends of Hervet Manufacturier to co-create a collection on the theme of Space-Time. This creative alliance has given birth to a living object, a vessel with aspirations of flight. Celeste is a mysterious, geometric, uncompromising watch that houses a radial time indicator. Its artisanal manufacture is essentially French. Its radar dial reveals hours, minutes, and seconds as the hands fly by, driven by an automatic mechanical movement. Its elevated fuselage reveals the screen of this observation instrument through a massive, faceted, brushed, robust octagon. Whether made of gold or steel, adorned with Super-Luminova or diamonds. The quilted strands of its strap evoke the quilted leather seats of spaceships as imagined by the masters of science fiction of the 60s and 70s.
