The Bulgari Night in Geneva: Celebration of the Octagonal Style

The Bulgari event organized on the shores of Lake Geneva truly transported guests into a world of watchmaking excellence. The Italian Maison's latest collection, Octo Roma, was showcased in the heart of a spacious area that was transformed to accentuate the brand's iconic octagonal design, making it the focal point of the event. More than 150 distinguished guests, friends, celebrities and journalists enthusiastically gathered around Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, who unveiled the new Octo Roma models together with Antoine Pin, Managing Director of Bulgari Watches. “First presented in 2012, the Octo symbolically opened a new decade last night, a new chapter in its history," said Jean-Christophe Babin. “The celebration of Octo Roma was characterized by a sense of marking time with style, thanks in part to the presence of Italian actor and director, Alessandro Gassmann, and British actor Lucien Laviscount, both proud to be among the first to wear the Octo Roma watch”. 

 

GERALD GENTA will be revived at Louis Vuitton’s High Watchmaking atelier La Fabrique du Temps

In April 2023, GERALD GENTA will be revived by la Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. Production is to be concentrated on high complications made in small quantities. Evelyne Genta, Gerald’s widow and business partner, has given the project her benediction and has allowed La Fabrique du Temps full access to her late husband’s archives which includes many hundreds of designs that were never realised. In addition to this priceless resource, La Fabrique Du Temps founders Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini bring the unique experience of having worked together for Gérald Genta during the 1980s and 1990s overseeing the minute repeater, tourbillon, and high complications workshops. This combination of unfettered access to the design archive of one of the great masters of modern watchmaking and the unrivalled expertise of watchmakers who worked closely with him on his most complicated pieces creates a unique opportunity for La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton to take inspiration from the past achievements of the GERALD GENTA brand in order to make 21st century timepieces once more worthy of the name Gérald Genta.

 

Zenith opens its second Flagship Boutique in the Region

Zenith has opened its second boutique in the region after the Dubai Mall at the iconic Kingdom Center in Riyadh –Saudi Arabia in the presence of Zenith CEO Julien Tornare, and Business Partner Murad Yousuf Behbehani. From the outside, the façade of the boutique immediately catches the eyes and arouses curiosity, with illuminating four-pointed stars inspired by the 1969 Zenith logo beckoning passers-by to step inside. Visitors are welcomed by warm neutral tones juxtaposed against a stretching central blue element from the floor to the ceiling that’s backlit to evoke a starry night sky – a symbolic element central to Zenith’s lore. For those wanting to learn more about Zenith, the “Story Bar” allows a deep dive into the Zenith universe, interacting with objects and discovering the individuals from Zenith’s past and present and their inspirational stories. The Zenith boutique in Kingdom Center will host the entire collection of watches as well as local and regional exclusive editions. 

 

Breitling unveils its second restaurant with a splashy opening Soirée

Breitling is bringing new meaning to the word “tastemaker.” The Swiss watch brand is expanding into the culinary world with the launch of its second restaurant, Breitling Kitchen Geneva. The grand opening took place with the company’s CEO Georges Kern, media, and special guests in attendance, including Breitling’s celebrity brand ambassador actor Álvaro Morte (Money Heist, The Wheel of Time). Also there for the celebration was Breitling’s culinary partner, Colombian-French star chef Juan Arbeláez, who designed the restaurant’s menu as a modern street-food concept based on fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Building on Chef Arbeláez’s Latin-American roots, the menu includes a selection of authentic Mexican tacos as well as the Peruvian-style ceviche Tartare de Daurade.

Kaltham's Pavilion launches Exclusive Capsule Collection at Printemps

Qatar-based luxury jewelry brand, Kaltham's Pavilion, has launched an exclusive capsule collection inspired by the Qatar’s National Flower called Qataf, as well as Turkish Islamic art patterns. The collection features Pink Sapphires, Rubies and Amethysts that capture the magenta pink and lilac hues of the Qataf flowers that grow along the coastlines of Qatar in the months of March to May. Founder and designer Kaltham AlMajid is thrilled to have her collection displayed at the prestigious Printemps department store in Doha. The 6th edition of GEMGENÈVE

GemGenève is proud to welcome ten talented designers - six ‘Emerging Talents’ and four ‘New Designers’, hosted by Nadège Totah - and to have the opportunity to give their work greater exposure in a dedicated space. Their creations offer a fascinating glimpse into a very different universe of ideas and inspirations, a world of innovation and ingenuity that highlights each creator’s individuality. With very different styles and techniques, each designer draws inspiration from the mysteries of nature in order, as they explain, to create collections imbued with the powerful symbolism that has always been an essential element of jewels. All of these designs share a common focus: the meaning, message and role of the jewel, far beyond the purely ornamental, giving them a value that exceeds their intrinsic worth. GemGenève will be held on May 11-14 2023 at Palexpo Hall 1 in Geneva.

JEWELLERY GENEVA is a new show whose mission is to bring you, the High Jewellery Retailer, the top jewellery brands you normally meet with on your annual Switzerland buying trip. The show was located under one roof at the 5-Star Hotel President on beautiful Lake Geneva. The President Wilson is a short walk from most top Geneva Hotels and a 15 Minute Bus Ride on a dedicated line from Palexpo every 30 minutes each day, making it very easy for you to get to JEWELLERY GENEVA.
