The OAK Collection travelling exhibition to open at the Design Museum in London
The OAK Collection exhibition - for 'One of A Kind' - comprises 160 'best of the best' vintage and contemporary museum quality watches, among which are unrepeatable special orders, ultra-rare limited editions, the most valuable examples of their type and the largest number of Patek Philippe pieces once owned by the celebrated collector Henry Graves Jnr. to now be held in private hands. Every watch is in truly perfect condition, with the majority of examples being new or virtually unworn. All are serviced on a regular basis by a highly experienced watch maker whose working life is dedicated to maintaining the collection which, having been patiently gathered and never previously revealed, could fairly be described as one of the watch world's 'best kept secrets’. The OAK Collection travelling exhibition opens at the Design Museum, 224-238 Kensington High St, London W8 6AG on May 19 and runs until May 25. |

In the course of two days, Sotheby’s has staged two highly successful watches auctions; a white glove sale for The Nevadian Collector – a prestigious private collection encompassing the most exceptional vintage timepieces, followed by the Important Watches I sale, contributing to a combined total of US$43m, together resulting to the highest sale series for Sotheby’s Watches in Asia. |

Maurice Lacroix unveils its latest timepiece, the AIKON Skeleton, a model inspired by urban architecture. The Swiss firm has worked closely with movement specialist, Sellita, creating a brand new movement. The new Maurice Lacroix AIKON Skeleton was inspired by urban architecture. Presented in a 39mm stainless steel case, the modest diameter of this watch promises widespread appeal. Moreover, it complements the brand’s existing portfolio of skeleton models housed in 43mm, 44mm and 45mm cases. Part of the charm of the AIKON Skeleton is that it reveals many parts usually hidden from view. Indeed, the wearer is indulged with views of various components in motion such as the balance wheel oscillating backwards and forwards. |

DOXA Army Watches of Switzerland Edition
More than 50 years after its debut, DOXA and its Anglo-American partner Watches of Switzerland are reissuing the DOXA Army in a very small Limited Edition of only 100 pieces. Each watch comes in a packaging designed specifically for this edition and sporting the original camouflage pattern used by the Swiss Army at the time the watch was first issued. The box also includes two straps: one made from black FKM rubber and one NATO strap with a camouflage pattern. The DOXA Army reissue is available at all Watches of Switzerland retail outlets where DOXA Watches is represented, and on the Watches of Switzerland and DOXA Watches e-commerce platforms. |
