Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates 10-year partnership with Venice International Film Festival

Jaeger-LeCoultre opens a retrospective photographic exhibition on Lido Island to mark its 10-year partnership with the Venice International Film Festival from September 2nd to 12th 2015. The Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Behind the Scenes Exhibition will give visitors an insight into the filmmaking process of diverse artists. Each of them has contributed to creating and bringing life to the art of filmmaking and has been rewarded by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award, the annual prize established by Jaeger-LeCoultre in association with the Venice International Film Festival.

Richard Mille announces the opening of a seasonal Pop-up Exhibition in Harrods’ Brompton Road Exhibition Windows for the month of July. The Richard Mille Pop-up is now open with product and displays in place until 31st July.

 

Christophe Claret opens two new points of sale

Christophe Claret announces the opening of a new point of sale in Switzerland, in Lucerne and and Chronopassion in Paris. Since June 26th 2015, creations from the four collections by the Christophe Claret have been available from Gübelin, on Schwanenplatz. Finally, the brand will take part in an exhibition at King Sign in Taiwan in collaboration with Swiss Prestige, from July 15th to 22nd.

 

IWC boutique Abu Dhabi welcomes winners of Volvo Ocean Race

The prestigious Volvo Ocean Race, Azzam Skipper Ian Walker and his crew Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing (ADOR) visited to the IWC Schaff¬hausen boutique in The Galleria on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. The IWC sponsored crew of the racing yacht; Azzam lifted the Volvo Ocean Race 2014–15 trophy as champions in the final stopover in Gothenburg, Sweden. Walker and his team celebrated their vic¬tory during their visit to the city.

 

Indian Diamond Traders meet to deliberate on the strategy and way forward for the trade

GJEPC, BDB & MDMA, organized a meeting with top 250 diamond exporters on 7th July 2015 to discuss the current market scenario and issues faced by the diamond industry and derive a way forward. The meeting was held at S.G. Jhaveri Trading Hall, BDB, BKC, and Mumbai. The industry leaders of all associations, viz. BDB, GJEPC & MDMA, and members present unanimously agreed that the market has been going through tough times and there is a need to take short term as well as long term measures to address the issues faced by the industry.

The limited edition has a white ceramic case, white crown rubber with lapis lazuli dial and matching blue rehaut, the colours echo the colours of the French Riviera. To celebrate Eid Al Fitr, IWC Schaffhausen introduces Portugieser Perpetual Calendar with a double moonphase. In this timepiece, the moon phase and its mirror image show the state of the moon in both the northern and southern hemispheres. The subdial with the double moon display into a star-studded night sky the same color as the large dial, so that the moon and stars appear to hover in infinite space. The dial appears more balanced because the subdials for the date and week are also the same color.

 

Laurent Ferrier reveals Galet Square

Galet Square has a blue dial featuring a vertical satin-brushed finish and creates a velvety sheen that is particularly pleasing to the eye. This variation features white gold hour-markers. Alongside the Côtes de Genève motif on the bridges and the circular graining on the mainplate, the wheel spokes are bevelled, the screw hands are chamfered and polished; the interior angles are hand-crafted. The strap is made of dark alligator leather with Alcantara lining. The Buckle is pin or double blade folding clasp in stainless steel.

The event is supported by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.
