Patek Philippe to present its new Rare Handcrafts collection 2022 at its Salons in Geneva
From April 6 to 23, 2022, at its historic headquarters on Rue du Rhône, the manufacture is presenting nearly 60 Rare Handcrafts creations that pay tribute to a wide range of artisanal skills. Apart from these treasures that reflect wonderfully inspired, magnificent craftsmanship, visitors can also watch masters of their art demonstrating tradition-steeped techniques. As the guardian of the grand Genevan watchmaking tradition, Patek Philippe is deeply committed to preserving the artisanal skills with which timepieces have been lavishly decorated for nearly five hundred years. Each year, the manufacture unveils a new collection of one-of-a-kind pieces and limited editions that focus the spotlight on such talents. This also applies to the 2022 collection (a total of 59 creations including 15 dome table clocks, 9 miniature dome table clocks, 10 pocket watches, and 25 wristwatches) with a rich palette of different artisanal techniques. |

The Morellato Group opens new premises in Dubai
The Morellato Group has announced the arrival of Italian Luxury Mea. The Group’s new company is based in Dubai, a strategic area for developing business in key Middle East and Africa markets. The Offices and Showroom will all be located in the Dubai Design District, a Free Zone set in the heart of the Business Bay, now an international art, fashion and design hub. The new executive premises will be opening alongside two in France and one in Hong Kong, and will handle distribution and marketing of the Morellato Group’s watch and jewellery brands. In addition to main proprietary brands Morellato, Philip Watch, Sector No Limits and Live Diamond, they also include worldwide licenses for Chiara Ferragni, Maserati and Trussardi. The new Company is to be headed by Hikmat Traboulsi, a professional with over 30 years of experience in luxury retail and brand management, particularly in the jewellery and watch sector.

The great success of the Louis Moinet NFTs
Ateliers Louis Moinet, in collaboration with Exclusible and Tafi, is a pioneer. It is one of the first Haute Horlogerie brands to embark on the new Web 3.0 adventure: NFTs. This breakthrough in the metaverse was a great success from the outset: the 1,000 NFTs were sold out in just seven minutes, much to the disappointment of many enthusiasts who were not quick enough. Immediately rising in value, 200 NFTs were already on the secondary market, some going for more than double their purchase price, only hours after their release. Enthusiastic collectors who were lucky enough to get their hands on them are eagerly awaiting mid-March. They will then have the pleasure of discovering which one-of-a-kind SPACE REVOLUTION is behind their purchase.

Breitling opens largest Middle East Boutique in Olaya Towers, Riyadh
Breitling has opened its doors to its largest Boutique in the Middle East. Located in Olaya Towers, Saudi Arabia’s luxury shopping destination, the Boutique is Breitling’s latest retail space to feature the brand’s unique design concept – a contemporary urban interpretation of an industrial loft. Taking part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Breitling MEIA Managing Director, Aed Adwan and Eng. Mohammed Altayeb, CEO, First Jewellry, Breitling’s partner in Riyadh. Spanning across two floors, the 227m² space boosts ultra-high ceilings and towering bookcase-like display vitrines. Plenty of Breitling’s signature Boutique features pop up in every corner – from the unique industrial display units and heavy metal doors to the wall-mounted propeller and surfboard marking the ‘Air’ and ‘Sea’ sections of the Boutique. |

Tiffany & Co. debuts its latest Tiffany HardWear campaign featuring ROSÉ
Tiffany & Co. unveiled its latest campaign with global House ambassador, ROSÉ of BLACKPINK, introducing her second Tiffany HardWear campaign. Shot by Mario Sorrenti in New York City, the campaign picks up where the singer’s 2021 Tiffany HardWear campaign left off - pushing the attitude and energy further. The intimate yet powerful portraitures of ROSÉ showcase the artist wearing the latest diamond-intensive designs from the collection, shot in a deliberately stark, reductionist space. In the campaign, ROSÉ not only wears existing pavé diamond Tiffany HardWear styles, but also the new necklace and bracelet debuting this July that feature striking links made of black titanium, 18k rose gold and diamonds. She also wears the new full pavé diamond styles debuting in November. |

The IWC Racing team debuts at ICE event in St. Moritz
IWC Schaffhausen’s racing team, IWC Racing, has kicked off its fourth racing season with a premiere: at the first edition of the ICE event in St. Moritz, the team made its debut on snow and ice. On unfamiliar terrain, Austrian racing driver and member of the IWC family Laura Kraihamer put in a strong performance at the wheel of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SL “Gullwing”. The frozen Lake St. Moritz in Switzerland, 1,800 metres above sea level, is a popular venue for horse races in winter. However, on 26 February 2022, the iconic location was taken over by classic race and sports cars from all over the world, as the luxurious winter sports destination welcomed the ICE, the International Concours of Elegance. Perpétuel reveals a selection of brand collaborations for 2022
Perpétuel, a unique destination for collectors in pursuit of horological masterpieces, has announced its latest partnerships with Singer Reimagined, Excelsior Park and Nivada Grenchen. Perpétuel will be launching a series of limited-edition watches throughout 2022. The first release is scheduled for March 2022 in collaboration with Excelsior Park followed by Nivada Grenchen. The first Excelsior Park launch will showcase a classic 1950s watch, featuring a distinct brushed salmon dial, covered with a double domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. A magnificent manual winding twin-counter chronograph is fitted with blue hands and powered by a Sellita SW510 BH B movement. The collection is limited to 50 pieces only and will go on sale in the last week of March this year. |

Jacob & Co. debuts “Gotham City” Timepiece
Jacob & Co. today revealed details of its new “Gotham City” luxury watch, the first offering in a previously announced multi-year partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC. A 45.5 mm watch filled with details and high quality materials worthy of Bruce Wayne, the Gotham City timepiece is available now in extremely limited quantities – only 72 pieces exist. Jacob & Co. created a series of 36 pieces in black DLC titanium (inspired by Batman) and another 36 in 18K rose gold (inspired by Batman’s secret identity, Bruce Wayne), which retail beginning at $220,000. Fitted with a hyper complicated movement with twin, flying, sequential, high-speed, triple-axis tourbillons, the Gotham City is a tribute to Batman’s crime fighting tech, and the glamorous lifestyle of Bruce Wayne. |

Breitling X Triumph
The freewheeling 1960s café-racer spirit is back in a spectacular new Top Time collaboration between Breitling and British motorcycle brand Triumph. Now in its 120th year, Triumph combines historic craftsmanship with contemporary design to create its classic motorcycles. For their debut collaboration, Breitling is producing a Top Time Triumph watch with a distinctive brushed finish in the bow-tie motif nicknamed “the Zorro dial” by Top Time collectors. Triumph, meanwhile, is launching 270 co-branded motorcycles—the Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition - whose buyers will have the privileged opportunity to purchase a special owner’s version of the Top Time Triumph, this one with a sunray dial and engraved caseback featuring the individual number of the bike (owner’s version orders must be placed with Triumph by August 22, 2022). |
