Japanese artist Ryoichi Kurokawa has been awarded the 2025 Richard Mille Art Prize by Richard Mille and Louvre Abu Dhabi during the Art Here 2025 exhibition in Nikko, Japan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Recognized for his work skadw-, Kurokawa’s installation transforms shadow into an immersive experience using light, sound, and drifting fog, creating a continuously shifting environment. IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026 to open the Global Jewellery Calendar as Year’s First B2B Trade Fair

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will launch the 18th edition of IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026, the first global B2B jewellery trade fair of the year, in Mumbai. The exhibition will be held at Jio World Convention Centre (8–11 January) and Bombay Exhibition Centre (9–12 January), alongside IGJME Bharat – Signature 2026 machinery showcase. Featuring over 1,600 exhibitors across 3,300+ stalls and attracting 25,000 trade buyers from India and abroad, the event covers Gold, Diamonds, Silver, Gemstones, Lab-Grown Diamonds, Couture Jewellery, and machinery. Twelve international buyer delegations and exhibitors from seven countries underline its global sourcing significance.

 

India–Oman CEPA to Boost Gems & Jewellery Exports to USD 150 Million with Duty-Free Access

The India–Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), eliminating customs duties on Indian gems and jewellery imports to Oman, is expected to boost exports and strengthen bilateral trade, according to the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). India’s current exports to Oman stand at USD 35 million (2024), but duty-free access under CEPA could increase this to USD 150 million over the next three years. Growth will be driven by enhanced price competitiveness, a wider range of products, and stronger industry collaboration. India is already Oman’s largest supplier of 22-carat gold jewellery, with exports rising 80.11% in 2024–25, highlighting trust in Indian craftsmanship.
