The goldsmithing, jewellery and watchmaking world is at Vicenza Expo Centre for the new edition of Vicenzaoro January - The Jewellery Boutique Show. Having celebrated its first 70 years of history in 2024, a milestone that has made the Italian Exhibition Group show the longest-running event in the industry’s global panorama, Vicenzaoro is ready to write the future starting with an edition that – from 17th to 21st January – opens the world calendar of industry events, charting trends, tendencies and business routes for the international jewellery industry. At the same time, T.Gold, a global B2B showcase of technology and machinery for jewellery manufacturing, while VO Vintage will welcome the public of vintage fine watch and jewellery enthusiasts and collectors from 17th to 20th January.

Messika presents a winter installation at The Lana, Dubai

Inspired by Messika’s global winter campaign, the tree’s pristine white branches have been adorned with gift boxes in various shades of gold, along with ornaments representing Messika’s signature designs. The iconic Move motif, which features three moving diamonds, and the So Move design, a modern variation of the classic Move motif in three exquisite tones: Pink Gold, White Gold, and Yellow Gold have been reimagined as festive ornaments to enhance and elevate this one-of-a-kind installation. The festive magic of this masterpiece extends beyond The Lana to Messika Grand Atrium boutique located in The Dubai Mall. For the first time, its retail façade has been decorated with larger-than-life jewelry boxes, beautifully complemented by a light layer of snow. Inside, a luminous white and gold decor transformed the space into an enchanting winter destination.

Perrelet marks the 2025 Chinese New Year with the launch of the Turbine Snake

On the occasion of the upcoming Chinese New Year, which will be celebrated on 29 January 2025, marking the beginning of the first lunar month in the Chinese calendar, Perrelet has created the Turbine Snake, dedicated to the Year of the Wood Snake. The Turbine Snake features a red lacquered sub-dial, the colour of luck and protection, decorated with golden auspicious ideograms for well-being and prosperity. Above it, the figure of the snake in stamped and gilded metal stands out with a 3D effect, like a bas-relief: its erected head, with cunning eyes and forked tongue, rises high above the twisted coils of its body, covered with two types of scales. The image of the snake, exuding strength and energy, is made visible by the rotating turbine, a distinctive element not only of this timepiece but of the entire collection.

DHL Express partners with Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) to facilitate international shipping of India-made jewellery

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) to ship India-crafted jewellery via courier mode, leveraging DHL’s time-definite international (TDI) delivery service. As the first international logistics provider to sign an MoU with GJEPC, DHL will support local jewellery and gem makers to broaden their footprint and increase revenue. The GJEPC is an apex body of the gem and jewellery industry under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. The MoU intends to simplify the customs clearance process for jewellery shipments, reducing transit times, paperwork, and costs compared to traditional cargo shipping methods.
