The RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal
In 2010, the RM 027 Tourbillon was born as the answer to a challenge. It proved the prelude to an exciting adventure, the quest for remarkable lightness and superlative performance. With the RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal, this Richard Mille saga has reached a climactic conclusion. The watch weighs 11,5 grams excluding its strap and can withstand a g-force of 14,000, for a two-fold record for a manual winding tourbillon watch. The RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal project may have launched in 2019, but its story is rooted much earlier. The RM 27-05 project was driven by an unwavering quest to eliminate weight and the result boasts an impressive technical data sheet. The movement has a power reserve of 55 hours and incorporates a flying tourbillon that oscillates at a frequency of 3 Hz. Its PVD-treated titanium baseplate is optimally skeletonised and hand-finished, even the hidden parts. |

Breguet expands its iconic Marine collection with new gem set models
Two new timepieces join the Marine collection. While one is graced with a sunburst blue dial recalling the sea, the second comes with a silver-toned dial hinting at foam dancing on the rocks. As if to evoke sunshine sparkling on water, eight diamonds take the place of certain hour-markers on each dial, while the bezel is decked out with 50 diamonds. This model features several of Breguet's notable aesthetic attributes. Firstly, the facetted gold hour and minute hands, which are luminescent and display the famous eccentric open-tipped style. In a reference to maritime signals, the tip of the seconds hand signifies the letter "B" for "Bravo" in navigation codes. At 3 o'clock, the crown guard is distinguished by the wave shape characteristic of the Marine line. |

DGFT Holds Revised Wastage Norms for Gem & Jewellery Exports: GJEPC
On behalf of the industry, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry for their recent decision to put in abeyance the changes in maximum permissible wastage norms for gold, platinum, and silver content in jewellery exports. In a virtual meeting called at a short notice on 28th May, GJEPC played an active role in advocating for a balanced approach that enables minimal disruption to exports and considers both efficiency and the livelihoods of millions associated with the trade. In the meeting, GJEPC informed DGFT officials that the revised norms would have a disproportionate impact on the small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), which represent 85% of all exporters. DGFT has given GJEPC time until 31st July to provide inputs on Standard Input Output Norms (SION). |
