BVLGARI launches a fundraising initiative with Save the Children Lebanon

Marking three months since the explosion in downtown Beirut, 80 press and friends of the brand gathered for a very special dinner with Bvlgari. The B.for Beirut Dinner marks a poignant chapter for Bvlgari here in the Middle East by extending its support to the children whose lives have recently shaken. Hosted at Il Ristorante – Niko Romito of Bvlgari Resort Dubai, guests were welcomed into the heart and home of the Maison. The Bvlgari Resort Dubai in a show of continued solidarity will allocate a part of the revenues generated over the follow two weeks at Il Ristorante – Niko Romito. The opening of Chaumet boutique in Abu Dhabi

The much-anticipated opening of the Maison Chaumet boutique in the capital of the United Arab Emirates in The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi. An exclusive address in which visitors can discover the latest jewellery creations from the Maison’s iconic collections: Joséphine, Liens and Bee My Love. Inspired by French art de vivre and the natural world, this new setting evokes the interior of a Parisian hôtel particulier in which the codes of the Maison are presented in a revisited and stylised 18th-century spirit. Refined and luxurious, intimate and feminine, it tells the story of Chaumet with poetry and emotion, thanks to the talents of numerous exceptionally accomplished artisans.

 

Chopard official timekeeper of the ‘1000 Miglia’ 2020

For the 32nd consecutive year, Chopard served as main partner and official timekeeper for this new edition of the ‘1000 Miglia’ rally. In four days, the 354 crews conquered the 1,618 km of the race. Amongst them were four cars composing the Chopard Sponsor Team, starting the competition under the protective gaze of Jacky Ickx, who presided over the festivities organised by Chopard. The competition was eventually won by the team composed of Roberto Vesco (already a winner in 1993) and his son Andrea Vesco (who finished third in the 2018 edition and second in 2019) at the wheel of a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Zagato. This exceptional edition of the race offered Chopard the occasion to unveil the latest timepieces from its 2020 Mille Miglia Collection, must-have creations for contemporary gentlemen to race in style.

 

Glashütte Original partners with Boris Herrmann

Glashütte Original is supporting the German offshore sailor Boris Herrmann during the Vendée Globe, which started on November 8, 2020 and which will take him around the world. The charismatic 39-year old is not only dedicated to seeing his life’s dream come true and to the ultimate adventure on the high seas – he will contribute actively to research on climate change. The latest development from the engineers and designers at Glashütte Original is a robust, exceptionally precise and stylish timepiece made for courageous adventurers and confident self-starters: the SeaQ Panorama Date. Having already passed rigorous in-house lab tests, it will accompany Boris Herrmann on the Seaexplorer during the Vendée Globe 2020, which will run this rugged timepiece through the ultimate stress test. 

 

Mouawad unveils the Mouawad Miss USA and Miss Teen USA crowns

Louis Vuitton SETHUNYA Diamond

Less than a year after the momentous discovery of the 1758-carat Sewelô rough diamond, Louis Vuitton enters into a second collaboration with Lucara Diamond Corp. (Karowe mine, Botswana) and HB Antwerp, the closed-circle technology company focusing on the diamond industry, to fashion a 549-carat gem quality rough diamond. The 549-carat diamond is named Sethunya, meaning flower in the Setswana language, a gentle nod to Louis Vuitton’s emblematic Monogram flower. The Versace Watches Fall-Winter 2020 campaign is inspired by the trance-like state of hypnosis. The swinging pocket watch historically used in hypnotherapy is replaced by the latest Versace timepieces. The designs pendulate from side to side in front of the transfixed eyes of our cast of models. The brand’s Virtus Animalier print from the Fall-Winter 2020 Collection is recreated as graphics that frame campaign imagery and add hypnotic layers.

Riskers delivered watches to its first customers

Thanks to a smart campaign carried out on Kickstarter in November 2019, Riskers was able to launch production of its timepieces. The overwhelming majority of contributors to this flash campaign came from an upstream community. Unfortunately, COVID-19 caused workshop closures and Riskers had to fight, as soon as they reopened, to limit the resulting delay. Since mid-September, Riskers has delivered nearly 300 watches to its first customers. The brand is on a good footing now to spread its wings: a high quality product with an assertive design and packaging that invites one to travel.

BOVET 1822 presents timepieces that will brighten up your year's end celebration

The House of BOVET continues to enhance its women’s collection, in 2020. As demonstrated by the new edition of the Miss Audrey timepiece. It now features a shimmering blue aventurine glass dial. The case's convertible feature allows the timepiece to be worn on the wrist, transformed into a table clock or turned into a majestic pendant without needing to use the slightest tool. The Virtuoso VIII Chapter Two tourbillon perfectly embodies the harmony between the Maison's historic past and the spirit of innovation that drives the BOVET 1822 technicians and artisans. While the Récital 26 Brainstorm Chapter Two is the second timepiece in the Bovet collection to be fitted with a sapphire crystal case in the emblematic writing case. The slope of its bezel allows the collector to explore new display mechanisms that guarantee intuitive and increased readability.

 

Jaquet Droz launches SW Steel-Ceramic

The SW by Jaquet Droz is an original, sporty and edgy creation. There is no shortage of emotion and thrill with the new SW Steel-Ceramic. One color stands out before you even get to the details: red. This is the first time it has played such a prominent role on an SW, or a Jaquet Droz creation for that matter. The hand-edged fabric strap ties in with the Grande Seconde's stroke at 6 o'clock, the tip of the hour and minute hands, and the quarter hour marks they sweep over – all coated with Super-LumiNova. Where they intersect, the red 5, 6 and 7 are written in Arabic numerals while the other numbers appear in Roman. Under this numerical trio, at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, there are two crossbars firmly locking the iconic figure 8 formed by the hour-minute and Grande Seconde dials on the impressive 45 mm case.

 

Frederique Constant introduces Limited Edition 1988 Flyback Chronograph

Frederique Constant has introduced a special limited-edition timepiece of only 32 pieces developed in collaboration with the rising, vintage-inspired Danish watch brand About Vintage. The 1988 Flyback Chronograph is a Manufacture timepiece, built with Frederique Constant’s in-house movement, the FC-760 Manufacture caliber. The FC-760 caliber that operates the 1988 Flyback Chronograph dispenses with this complexity, replacing the standard column wheel with a star-shaped wheel. This results in a thinner movement with fewer parts and operations. The FC-760 caliber from Frederique Constant is simpler, smoother and more reliable. It has a 42mm-sized polished, stainless steel case and a dial with date adjustable by crown.

 

Tissot Heritage Navigator Chrono Auto 1973

A year after the overnight success of the first generation of the Tissot Heritage Navigator Chrono Auto 1973, Tissot launches a second series of its barrel-shaped chronograph. To recognize the 2020 version of the Tissot Heritage Navigator Chrono Auto 1973 at a single glance is as simple as focusing on the minute totalizer of the chronograph, located at 3 o’clock. The first option features black counters against a white dial (the so-called “Panda” effect) surrounded by a black dial edge. The second option has white counters against a black dial (the “Reverse Panda” effect) with a black dial edge. The third and last proposition juxtaposes white counters with a blue dial and a coordinating blue dial edge. An important detail: this second edition is not produced in a limited series.

 

Label Noir launches Epurato AM-4000.02.LN in collaboration with Anonimo

Label Noir, the Geneva-based customization specialist unveils its first “ready-to-wear” watch created hand-in-hand with the watchmaking brand Anonimo and available on its online store. The 42 mm-diameter cushion-shaped case, crafted in steel and covered with DLC (DiamondLike Carbon or amorphous carbon), hosts the self-winding Sellita SW 200-1 calibre, a wellproven motor which beats at a standard frequency of 4 Hz and delivers a power reserve of 38 hours. It attaches to the wrist with a black textile strap fringed with handcrafted azure blue saddle-stitching, clasped by a matt black ardillon buckle. The timepiece is issued in just 15 pieces.

 

Montegrappa launches MONOPOLY L.E.

Ever since its launch, MONOPOLY has been a staple of family fun and a by-word for tycoon style. Now, Montegrappa celebrates 85 years of the world’s favourite board game with two dazzling anniversary designs – each the centrepiece of a special, private-edition gameboard.
