Presenting the Montblanc Star Legacy Blue Exploding Star
There are many design elements that come into play in the Montblanc Star Legacy Collections. Their form is inspired by Minerva pocket watches from the late 19th and early 20th century with their round, polished, pebble-shaped cases and onion-shaped crowns. These two limited-editions include an Automatic Date and a Chronograph Day & Date. Both models are limited to 800 pieces each and come in 43mm stainless steel cases featuring satin-finished and polished details. They are also fitted with open casebacks so the wearer can appreciate the mechanics of the mechanical movements within. The case size increase to 43 mm occurred in 2020 and was more than a new size, but a whole new direction and expression of how elegant a timepiece can be. The Montblanc Star Legacy Automatic Date with its beautiful blue dial and rose gold-coated hands and numerals is powered by the MB24.17 automatic movement that has a 38-hour power reserve and indicates the hours, minutes, seconds, and date. |

ZENITH unveils “Ultra Colour” Box Set of 8 Chromatically Charged DEFY 21 Models

Montegrappa launches Ernest Hemingway Anniversary Edition
Among the brand manufacture’s proudest traditions is its historical association with one of modern literature’s greatest writers. With The Old Man and the Sea, the brand’s century-long affinity for Ernest Hemingway pivots from the man behind the pen, and sets course for his most iconic tale. Hemingway’s timeless story of the luckless fisherman, Santiago, and his quest to bring a giant marlin to shore epitomises the writer’s life and legacy. On The Old Man and the Sea, kotibé mahogany, enamel and sterling silver embody the lessons of Santiago’s journey: that lives lived with courage and integrity can be destroyed, but not defeated. The brand design’s leitmotif is “The Fight”, a barrel-length sculpture of the fisherman’s epic struggle portrayed in precious metals. Inspired by early dust jackets created for Hemingway’s classic, it recalls the heroism presented by life’s most mundane moments. |
