Dubai Records 18.72 million International Visitors in 2024
Dubai has achieved a new milestone in international tourism, attracting 18.72 million overnight visitors in 2024 - a 9% increase compared to the previous year. This growth surpasses the earlier record of 17.15 million visitors set in 2023, as reported by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). The impressive rise in tourism is driven by strong local and global partnerships, innovative marketing campaigns, and major events. These initiatives align with the D33 agenda, which aims to double Dubai's economic size by 2033. Additionally, Dubai’s exceptional performance underscores its status as the world’s top city for foreign direct investment (FDI) in tourism, according to the Financial Times Ltd’s ‘fDi Markets’ data for the first half of 2024. |

Introducing the BVLGARI x MB&F Serpenti Creation
For its second collaboration, Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, director of watchmaking creation at Bvlgari, and Maximilian Büsser, founder and creative director of MB&F chose to reinterpret one of Bvlgari’s most famous historical creations – Serpenti, which first appeared in Bvlgari’s creations in 1948 – bringing it into the very mechanical universe of MB&F haute-horlogerie. Combining the vision and expertise of these two creative forces, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti slithered into being. Reimagining Serpenti – an emblem of eternal rebirth and bold metamorphosis – into a Horological Machine required a complete redevelopment of this historical piece, not only in terms of mechanical engineering and movement conception, but also in terms of case design and manufacturing. |

Czapek & Cie introduces the Promenade Plissé
Presented in a slim 38mm case, Promenade expresses a relaxed and quietly confident sophistication, injected with playfulness and joie de vivre. The signature of the Promenade dial is asymmetry: the designs radiate from the small seconds dial placed at 4:30, producing a sense of dynamic tension. In 2025 Czapek introduces a new dial – Plissé (pleats) – in three colours. Promenade looks to fashion as a frame of reference – from Marilyn Monroe’s chic-and-sexy white pleated dress in The Seven-Year Itch to Issey Miyake’s futuristic pleats (for men and women) and light-as-air silks that marry couture tradition and high technology, and Yves Saint Laurent’s eternally modern le smoking – created in 1966, the OC of androgynous style. |

Grönefeld introduces its first ladies’ watch
Wishing to create their first ladies’ watch, Bart and Tim Grönefeld, aka ‘The Horological Brothers’ found inspiration in the Tankenberg, a tiny mountain approximately 2 km from Saint Plechelmus. On the northern slope of the hill sits a gazebo. The structure was erected on the site of a former temple where ‘Tanfana’, a goddess, once stood. Tanfana is considered a guardian of peace and harmony and is referenced in Bart and Tim’s latest creation, their inaugural ladies’ model. The dial of the 1944 Tanfana is formed of aventurine, a glossy midnight blue material incorporating numerous glinting metallic inclusions. Its geometric motif, known as the ‘Flower of Life’, enhances the dial's visual depth and texture. |

Bremont introduces the Terra Nova Bronze Collection
Bremont’s Terra Nova field watch collection, references and is inspired by military pocket watches of the early 20th century. The new Terra Nova Bronze models feature a dark green or caramel gradient dial. The Terra Nova 40.5mm Date Bronze and Terra Nova 42.5mm Chronograph Bronze feature a dark green linear gradient dial, whilst the Terra Nova 40.5mm Turning Bezel Power Reserve Bronze features a warm caramel linear gradient dial reminiscent of a seemingly endless desert. The three newcomers also display subtle design changes; the dial presents a smaller Wayfinder logo, whilst the chronograph and the power reserve models with their turning bezel have smaller full super-luminova block numerals on the dial, creating a more balanced appearance without sacrificing readability. |
