Chopard unveils its new Alpine Eagle products

Chopard is enriching its Alpine Eagle collection with a new case size designed for smaller wrists. In addition to the existing 36, 41 and 44-mm sizes, the new models feature a 33 mm-diameter case, while preserving the same harmonious sense of proportions and contemporary allure that contribute to the collection’s strong identity. The new Alpine Eagle 33 is presented in three material options: Lucent Steel A223, Chopard’s highly luminous, anti-allergenic material that’s twice as hard as steel and produced using 70% recycled material; ethical 18-carat rose gold; and a two-tone mix of the two metals. All are water-resistant to 50 metres. There are diamond-set bezel options in the Lucent Steel A223 and two-tone variants, while both rose gold iterations are diamond-set: one on the bezel alone and the other also on the central bracelet links as well as the hour-markers.

The new Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet

The new Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet gives pride of place to the black onyx dial, whose purity is highlighted by the absence of hour-markers. This stone dial has been crafted in collaboration with long-term partner Someco, a company specialised in dial manufacturing since 1966 and located in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Carved out of a single black onyx stone, the dial has then been cut into a thin disc, ground, sanded and polished to perfection before being inserted into the dial’s pink-gold-toned brass base plate. Its polished finishing confers it an elegant shine, magnified by the watch’s double curved sapphire crystal. Each dial is unique, as each stone has its own natural composition, texture and colour and reacts differently to the manufacturing and finishing operations.

Arnold & Son reveals the new Luna Magna Meteorite Timepiece

Arnold & Son combines materials and complications on this new Luna Magna Platinum model, released in a limited edition of 28 pieces. This high watchmaking timepiece with a spherical astronomical moon is adorned with a sand-colored, PVD-treated meteorite dial surrounded by a platinum case (Pt 950). To complete this limited edition’s cosmic references, the part of the moon in shadow is also made from meteorite. In a final harmonious touch, Luna Magna Platinum shines with a distinctive glow at night thanks to the Super-LumiNova coating on its moon hemisphere and opal subdial. With a satin circular-grained finish, the hour and minute subdial is crafted from white opal, a semiprecious gemstone known for its purity and delicacy and befitting of Luna Magna’s complication.

Three new models join the Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Permanent Collection

Launched in 2017, the Marine Torpilleur model embodies the history of Ulysse Nardin and pays homage to the prestigious Marine Chronometers created in the 19th century. This year, the House is expanding its Marine Torpilleur permanent collection with three new timepieces: the Marine Torpilleur Dual Time, the Marine Torpilleur Moonphase in rose gold and the Marine Torpilleur Tourbillon in white Grand Feu enamel. As business and leisure travel became more commonplace in the 20th century, watchmakers started to design timepieces that could simultaneously display two time zones: local time and home time.

The new RESERVOIR Sonomaster Chronograph with a stainless steel strap

The new RESERVOIR collection takes its inspiration from measuring instruments widely used in the world of sound or Hi-Fi. The two retrograde hands of the new RESERVOIR Sonomaster Chronograph faithfully reproduce the hands of power measurements or VU meters from analog stereo amplifiers. This strong milestone for RESERVOIR celebrates the human quest to create pure sound, a musical exploration full of audacity and intensity. This bi-retrograde (date and seconds at 120°) watch inaugurates a new RESERVOIR Sonomaster chronograph model, sportier than the range's precursor model, with a case and a bracelet made entirely of brushed 316L steel (central seconds, 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock, 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock).
