Audemars Piguet unveils evolution of original Royal Oak Offshore from 1993
Audemars Piguet released a new evolution of the original Royal Oak Offshore from 1993 with three references in stainless steel, titanium or 18-carat pink gold. Although retaining the essence of the original timepiece, the three 42 mm models sport the Manufacture’s latest selfwinding flyback chronograph, the new interchangeable strap system and a slightly revised dial design. The sapphire caseback also makes its come back, granting exceptional view on the hand-finished integrated chronograph. Unlike a regular chronograph, the flyback function allows the wearer to stop, reset and start the chronograph in one simple action. The column wheel works in collaboration with a vertical clutch system. When the chronograph is started or stopped, the hands respond accordingly without any hint of jumping. Furthermore, the push-pieces feel smooth when pressed.

Introducing the Overseas Limited Editions “Everest” by Vacheron Constantin
Vacheron Constantin’s sportiest collections is opening up to new aesthetic horizons with two new variations: Overseas chronograph “Everest” and Overseas dual time “Everest”. These two numbered 150-piece limited editions are ideal for everyday wear as well as for the most daring feats, as testified by American explorer and photographer Cory Richards who wears the dual time version and shot the chronograph model in Colorado. The new models, all of which are recognisable by the famous six-sided bezel evoking the Maltese cross, are distinguished by a powerful and distinctive style expressed through a skillful combination of materials, alternating between titanium and steel. The case, the bezel, the pushers and pusher guards are made of titanium, a light, robust and corrosion-resistant metal. The only differences are the finishes: satin-brushed and polished for the case; polished for the pushers; bead blasted for the bezel, crown and pusher guards, reflecting the grained dial finish. |

Presenting the Highlife Automatic Skeleton by Frederique Constant
This skeleton work presents a technical and aesthetic challenge. Technical, as the calibre is updated through tiny openings as numerous as they are delicate and created without the use of any sharp angles, in keeping with the curvature and harmony of the Earth. The new Highlife Automatic Skeleton is in the same vein. The highly original cut-out of the Earth at its centre reveals the beating heart of the movement: at 12 o’clock, the balance wheel; between 5 o’clock and 6 o’clock, the barrel, wound by the winding stem found at 3 o’clock. The openwork Earth allows you to see something, but not everything. In a complex play of light and shadow, between the hidden and the exposed, the Highlife Automatic Skeleton brings to life a modern vision of skeleton work and mechanical watchmaking. |

MB&F and L'Epée 1839 presents futuristic "Orb" clock
At first glance, the Orb looks like a futuristic model of an eye with its perfectly formed shiny sphere, and its dial taking the place of the iris and the pupil. But nothing is ever quite what it seems with the collaborative clocks of MB&F x L’Epée 1839. The minimalistic structure is composed of four elytra that not only open up, but can also swivel like a transformer to display the Orb in a variety of different positions. The shiny-white version is reminiscent of the first iPods with their lustrous curved cases, a surface that is particularly pleasing to the eye and the touch. The possibilities of displaying the ORB are multiple. Placed on its saucer so it doesn’t roll away, it can be displayed completely closed or with one, two or three opened elytra. Alternatively, opening all four elytra allows to display the clock without the saucer. |

Introducing TR-X Ghost
Anthony Amato and Vincent Walther announced the launch of the TR-X Ghost, an in-house skeleton tourbillon enhanced by the unique use of Superluminova. Widely used in the watch industry on watch dials and bezels, the luminescent material is generally used for hands, numerals and indexes. On the TR-X Ghost, it is deposited in fine lines on the corners of the skeleton in a unique process. Patented, it was developed in collaboration with a company in St. Gallen. It literally "houses" the Superluminova on the metal, thus highlighting the entire movement, as if it were backlit. The effect is further enhanced by the black DLC treatment of all the companies. TR-X Ghost is available in 4 different colors: Atomic, Lava, Ocean and Ray. |
