UAE to deliver three-stage ‘flexible package’ of measures to bolster economy

The UAE will deliver a three-stage ‘flexible package’ of measure to bolster the economy, including steps to support the labour market and encourage investment. The proposals would provide “studied” stimulus packages that includes 33 initiatives to be implemented until the end of 2020, which cover all sectors and economic activities. The new initiatives were proposed by the new Minister of Economy, Abdullah Bin Touq Al Merri, who will head a new committee that will monitor the implementation and progress of all 33 initiatives.

Prices drop further in Dubai’s VAT-free week

More retailers in Dubai are launching “VATfree” special offers as part of Dubai Summer Surprises to get prospective buyers to make those purchases now rather than take longer to decide. It’s the first time that a VAT focused campaign has been initiated on this scale, with the offers running for a week to August 13. Leading car dealerships have already introduced these plans, along with the other incentives, such as extended warranty, free insurance, and increased limits on free servicing. The Dubai Summer Surprises campaign, ‘24/7 VAT Free Week’, has seen leading retailers joining in. Running from August 7 to 13, it is also available on retailers’ online portals too.

OMEGA presents the new Constellation Gents’ Collection

The new 41 mm watches reflect a particularly bold and sophisticated spirit, while they also beautifully capture the Constellation’s most famous design traits – such as the iconic claws, and the half-moon facets at either end of the case. Furthermore, OMEGA has integrated some of its finest and most advanced watchmaking materials into the designs. This includes models in stainless steel, 18K gold, or a combination of both. Additionally, almost all the bezels have been crafted in polished ceramic – replicating the look of the original Constellation Manhattan of 1982, which used shiny sapphire glass.

The black dial gives the remarkable timepiece an elegant retro character and highlights the new design of the watch with striking contrast.
