Clock ticking for Swiss Watchmakers in Hong Kong

Swiss watchmakers have been hit hard by the protest in Hong Kong, their biggest global market. According to Jon Cox, head of Swiss equities at Kepler Cheuvreux, forecasts a 20% drop in exports to Hong Kong in 2019 – 40% in the worst-case scenario – with major Swiss watch groups among the biggest casualties.

Bremont Project Possible moving to 3rd and final phase

K2 is the second highest mountain in the world, after Mount Everest at 8,848 metres. Despite other teams aborting their climb to the summit of K2, Nims and his team made the decision to defy the odds and dangerous conditions and aim for the summit of K2. With only three out of the fourteen 8.000m peaks remaining, Bremont Project Possible is heading towards its 3rd and final phase. The team is now going to enjoy their well-deserved break, before swinging into their final endeavour in full speed as of September.

GPHG 2019 exceptional world tour

Every year in autumn, the watches pre-selected by the GPHG jury travel the world for a series of exhibitions, offering an international audience unique opportunities to discover the recent technical and artistic achievements of an industry that combines tradition and innovation, passion and know-how. The 2019 travelling exhibition will present 84 watches by some 50 brands. After the prize-giving ceremony, the 2019 tour will end in Dubai, where the GPHG winning watches will be presented from November 20th to 24th 2019 at the 4th Dubai Watch Week, the famous platform for cultural and educational discovery, which has hosted the GPHG since its first edition.
