Mechanical watches posts sales increase of 49.1 percent in the UAE
fiogf49gjkf0d The market for luxury Swiss watches grew by 49.1 percent in the first three months in the UAE in a dramatic recovery from last year figures when statistics from the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FSWI) showed that sales in the first nine months of 2009 slumped by 34.7 percent. This is reflected in the sales of mechanical watches which have been increasing steadily.

Armani Group sees strong growth after good results to date
fiogf49gjkf0d The Armani Group, which opened the world’s first Armani Hotel in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa earlier this year, generated consolidated revenues of approximately 6 billion Euros (Dh27.83 billion) in 2009, showing only a slight decrease against the previous year’s figure (-6 percent). The Group revenues show strong growth in the Far East, particularly in china, which posted 32 percent increase over 2008.
