Among the various Bremont new Baselworld Releasesis the new Regatta OTUSA watch. The movements have been designed to show a numerical 15 minute display countdown and a 5 minute start time. Furthermore, the watches have a 12 hour counter and a date function which is not only hard to integrate altogether but is also rarely seen on Regatta movements. The Regatta OTUSA will be produced in both black and white dial variants and 235 of each watch will be made.

MB&F collaborated with the talented James Thompson of Black Badger Advanced Composites to add two variations to their existing line, namely the HMX Black Badger and the Starfleet Machine Black Badger. MB&F HMX Black Badger a limited series of 3 x 18 pieces reprises the HMX's unique display. Jumping hours and trailing minutes are carried by discs that are positioned flat on top of the movement. They are angled at 90° and enlarged by a double prism and a magnifier. Indications are read from a vertical window, cut in the steel and titanium case. MB&F has souped up the popular casket-shaped driver's watch of the 1970s into a supercar version. The entire movement, designed like an engine, can be seen through the wide sapphire crystal pane in the watch's "hood". For this version, the engine's rocket covers are cut from blocks of lume, Black Badger's signature material, to illuminate this HMX Black Badger in green, blue or purple.

In 2016, the Elite collection by Zenith appears in a distinctly feminine guise. The new feminine face of the Elite collection, this Moon Phase model conveys its elegance through ve variations made of 18K pink gold or stainless steel. The ultra-thin pebble-shaped 36 mm-diameter case, water-resistant to 50 metres, its exhibition case-back provides a chance to admire its mechanism powered by an oscillating weight adorned with a “Co^tes de Gene`ve” motif. Surrounded by a diamond-set or polished bezel, the pure mother-of-pearl dial is graced with a star-studded deep blue moon disc. The heart of this new ladies’ watch beats to the rhythm of the automatic Elite Calibre 692, entirely developed and crafted by Zenith. Bestowed with a more than 50-hour power reserve.

Corum added a new world-time watch to its nautically inspired Admiral’s Cup collection The Corum Admiral’s Cup Legend 47 Worldtimer makes its debut in two formats, one with a titanium case and matte black dial, the other with a two-tone titanium and rose gold case with a smoky sapphire dial. Both new watches have 47-mm-diameter cases and are equipped with the automatic caliber CO637, a 31-jewel, 28,800-vph-frequency movement with a 48-hour power reserve. Its bridges are designed to echo the 12-sided shape typical of Corum’s Admiral’s Cup watches. In addition to powering the hours, minutes, and sweep-seconds hands, it includes a crown/push-button at 2 o’clock to set the watch’s world-time function: turn the crown to select the time zone (either the GMT time or the world city) and press the push-button to make the hour hand jump to the selected zone.

Jacob & Co is no stranger to audacity and pushing the limits. The company celebrates 30 years in the luxury business, announcing the new Twin Turbo Twin Triple Axis Tourbillon Minute Repeater, a world premiere, twin triple axis tourbillons and a minute repeater. As if not enough to have a triple axis tourbillon, Jacob & Co went on with the audacity to include two triple axis tourbillons in a single movement. Through a poising system, the tourbillons maintain a consistent rate set at 40 seconds, 3 minutes and 4 minutes per sycle and turn symmetrically at the same pace. The repeater system uses a catheral gong system and is a digital repeater, meaning that it strikes the hour, the 10 minutes (instead of the traditional 15 minutes) and the minutes.

Glashütte Original introduced its first automatic calibre featuring a power reserve of up to 100 hours at a frequency of 4 Hertz (28,800 A/h). This high degree of autonomy is achieved with the use of only one spring barrel, developed specifically for this purpose. The new calibre 36 is fitted in Glashütte Original Senator Excellence watch and supported with an innovative silicon balance spring. That´s a premier for Glashütte Original and a premier in Glashütte, since never before a wristwatch manufactured there was equipped with silicon balance spring. The high-tech material renders the ultra-thin spring immune to changes in temperature and to magnetic fields, its oscillation is extremely isochronous. A bi-directional winding mechanism ensures that the watch remains within the optimal charge range; a guarantee for excellent rate results.

Rado Limited to just 500 individually marked pieces, the True Open Heart is Rado’s ode to luxury, lightness and comfort. It is crafted in either matt black or polished white high-tech ceramic and features the clean, light lines of the Rado True family. The beautifully decorated Swiss movement is framed by stylized cutouts in the dial. An ultrafine mother-of-pearl layer floats over the dial like a veil, subtly exposing the mysterious inner workings of the watch below. The shimmering colours of the True Open Heart’s delicate, razor-thin mother of pearl dial change along with the lighting conditions and angle of view.

Casio released 10 new models at Baselworld this year among them is the unique G-SHOCK MR-G with a Profoundly Brilliant Finish Achieved Using Japanese Traditional Metal-Hammering Technique. The MRG-G1000HT, a 20th anniversary model to commemorate the original launch of its flagship MR-G series in the G-SHOCK line. Employing the theme of tsuiki, Casio designed the new MRG-G1000HT in collaboration with a third-generation master artisan in the field, Bihou Asano. A limited run of 300 watches will be sold worldwide.
