Vicenzaoro September posts +6% increase in visitors at the 2023 Edition

Constant growth for Italian Exhibition Group’s Vicenzaoro September, which closes its 2023 edition with a +6% increase in total visitors and an international component at 50%. The number of countries of origin also rose to 132 with numerous new entries. The European Union countries represented 52% of foreign visitors at Vicenzaoro, Asia and the Middle East 17%, the Americas 11%, Africa 4% and Oceania 1%.  To be precise, the hefty presence of the large European markets was confirmed with Spain (7%), Germany (4.8%) and France (4.2%) leading the way. The United States was the fourth most represented country and leads the ranking of non-EU buyers who came to the show to do business with the 1,200 exhibiting brands at this edition.

Bulgari marked the Serpenti Factory grand opening

In a dazzling event at The DIFC in Dubai, Bulgari marked the “Serpenti Factory” grand opening and the captivating “75 Years of Infinite Tales” exhibition. The journey of the now classic Buccellati advertising campaign continues with an exceptional young international testimonial, Talita von Fürstenberg. A committed designer, philanthropist and entrepreneur, Talita lives between Los Angeles and New York. She is the daughter of Princes Alexandra and Alexander von Fürstenberg, as well as the granddaughter of the famous fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg. Talita takes centre stage in these photo shoots in the sunny and enchanting city of Lecce. Amidst magnificent glimpses of Italian Baroque, photographer Josh Olins portrays the Maison's expression of timeless elegance through the eternal charm of black and white shots. From Palazzo Bozzi Corso to the evocative Roman Theatre, amidst the numerous churches and intertwining honey-coloured houses, Talita wears the precious creations by Buccellati, bringing a touch of contemporary charm in an enchanting, typically Italian atmosphere.

Robert Wan launches its first pearl workshop

On 9th September 2023, Robert Wan lunched its first pearl workshop where the participants had the opportunity to travel into the world of the Tahitian pearls, and understand the beauty of this gem. The main goal of the workshop was to teach the students how to evaluate and grade a pearl. The workshop was run by Wafa Habbar, General Manager of Robert Wan Middle-East, and Sara Ben Zid was the speaker for the Pearl design course. The private event ended with a beautiful afternoon tea served on a jewelry vault by the French Pastry Chef Romain Castet at Sofitel the Obelisk.

Arnold & Son introduces Luna Magna Red Gold Meteorite

With contrasts between its shades, materials and perceptions, the Luna Magna Red Gold Meteorite is brought to life by the oppositions, symbols and energies of its fundamental components. The subdial displaying the hours and minutes has a milky, almost lunar sheen thanks to its surface in opal, a semiprecious stone prized for its white colour, whose delicacy perfectly complements the unique complication of the Luna Magna Red Gold Meteorite. The spacious dial, freed up by the structure of this display, is made from a large disc of ferrous meteorite coloured blue using the PVD process. Presenting M.A.D.1 GREEN by MB&F

The MB&F team has recently announced the M.A.D.1 GREEN: a third edition of the M.A.D.1 wristwatch it first disclosed in June 2021 under a separate label, M.A.D.Editions. Not many creations can boast about being born as a scheme to say thank you. The driving force behind M.A.D.Editions was a certain frustration that not everyone could afford a high-figure MB&F timepiece, including MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser’s own friends and family; it started as a side project to thank those supporters of MB&F who have played a major role in the success of the brand. Between 2020 and mid-2021, the MB&F team fine-tuned and finalised the design – and invested into the manufacturing of a few hundred pieces. The timepiece would be as creative as everything else MB&F had developed, only at a much more affordable price.

The Chronomètre FB 3SPC by Ferdinand Berthoud

In October 2022, Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud unveiled the Chronomètre FB 3SPC, the third pillar of its collections inspired by and following in the tradition of the famed 18th-century watchmaker for whom the brand was named. The FB 3SPC incorporates key elements of marine chronometers such as those produced by the historical atelier of Ferdinand Berthoud, one of those elements being the cylindrical hairspring. Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud undertook three years of research and development to create the FB 3SPC, the first and only wristwatch with a cylindrical hairspring that has been officially certified as a chronometer by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC).

 

Bell & Ross launches new BR 03

Going from 42mm to 41mm, the smaller case size resolutely changes the visual finish of the watch. Capable of detecting seemingly inconsequential details, the eye immediately perceives these reduced dimensions. The same goes for the thinner lugs: 4mm compared to 4.5mm previously, with a new faceting effect. The new BR 03 watch joins a complete collection already bringing together several models, all powered by the latest BR-CAL.302 automatic movement, an extended power reserve of 54 hours and water resistant to 100m. The new BR 03 collection presents 6 iconic designs revisited: three models with a black ceramic case, and three versions in polished steel. Completing the collection are two new timepieces: one model equipped with a copper dial (BR 03 COPPER), and a version in khaki-coloured ceramic (BR 03 MILITARY).
