Cartier hosts Le style et l’histoire exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris

The Cartier Le style et l’histoire exhibition is a celebration of Cartier style and an expression of cultural recognition. From 4th December to 16th February 2014, this creative heritage will be on display at the Grand Palais in Paris. Saudi GDP grows by 3.19 percent in Q3

The Gross domestic product of Saudi Arabia was boosted by 3.19 percent in three months to the end of September this year compared to 2.7 percent in three months earlier, according to Arab News. Value of GDP reached USD185.73 billion in three months to the end of September compared to USD180 billion in the same quarter in 2012. The public sector saw a drop in GDP of 18.52 percent reaching USD27.35 billion in current prices compared to the same quarter in 2012.

24th edition of SIHH will be held from 20th to 24th January 2014

The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie returns to Geneva for its 24th edition, from 20th to 24th January 2014. Sixteen Fine Watch Maisons will present their latest creations to members of the trade at what is one of the foremost events in the horological calendar. The SIHH takes up residence at Palexpo, just a few minutes from Geneva Airport. Some 13,000 visitors will enjoy the hushed surroundings covering 30,000 square metres of space.

11th edition of the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition 2014 will be from 24th February to 2nd March 2014

The 11th edition of the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition 2014, a prominent premium exhibition for the Watches & Jewellery trade in the region will be held at the new Qatar National Convention Centre. Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition will be held under the patronage of HH. Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister of the State of Qatar from 24th February to 2nd March 2014.

Dubai International Jewellery Week 2013

H.H. Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, last week opened Dubai International Jewellery Week 2013. Thousands of visitors filled the Dubai World Trade Centre, where over 360 exhibitors from more than 30 countries show cased their exclusive jewellery collections, precious gemstones and cutting-edge designs.

Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates the spirit of invention of Dubai Expo 2020

Jaeger-LeCoultre Middle East Brand Director Renaud Pretet and members of the Touchline board were recently received by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Dubai Expo 2020 to present the special painting 'Tawasul Al-Himam' (The Continuum of Resolve) by Ali Omar Ermes. The great work of art was commissioned by Jeager-LeCoultre and Touchline FZ-LLC in celebration of Dubai's expo theme.

Audemars Piguet presents ‘Curiosity’ by Kolkoz, a major new art installation

The Mayor of Miami Tomás Regalado unveiled ‘Curiosity’ by French artist duo Kolkoz, an ambitious installation piece for Art Basel in Miami Beach last week. Presented by Audemars Piguet in partnership with prestigious art gallery Galerie Perrotin, ‘Curiosity’ takes the form of a snow covered chalet floating in front of the iconic modernist structure of the Miami Marine Stadium. Audemars Piguet initiated its partnership with Art Basel at Art Basel’s show in Hong Kong in May 2013 and had its first presence at Art Basel in Miami Beach from 5 to 8 December, 2013.

Arnold & Son wins the category ‘Best Multi-Time Zone Watch’ for the DBG in the Arabian Watches & Jewellery Magazine Middle East Premier Awards. Jaeger-LeCoultre pieces raised 790 000 USD at (RED) Auction

Sir Jonathan Ive, KBE, and Marc Newson, CBE, have collaborated with musician and philanthropist Bono organized a (RED) Auction celebrating the very best of design and innovation. Proceeds from last month sale at Sotheby’s New York will benefit The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The auction featured icons of design selected by Jony and Marc and works that were personally customized by the pair.  The custom Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos 561 clock with unique red accents created for the (RED) Auction and The Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea watch which has been customized with a unique red dial and the (RED) logo engraved on the back of the watch.
