Chopard partners with Est. Hagop Atamian in Lebanon

Chopard has partnered with Est. Hagop Atamian, for the distribution of its jewerly and timepieces in Lebanon. Chopard jewerly and watches collections are displayed in Atamian main Boutiques located in prime locations in Lebanon such as: ABC Achrafieh and ABC Dbayeh high-end malls, in addition to Beirut Souks, major commercial district in the capital with more than 200 shops and one of the largest shopping areas in the country.

Swatch Group generated good sales in the Middle East

Group net sales of CHF 3716 million at current exchange rates, a decrease of 11.4% or CHF 3666 million, a decrease of 12.5% at constant rates.

The Watches & Jewellery segment, including Production, achieved an operating margin of 11.2%. Net income of CHF 263 million, 52.0% below the first half 2015.

Positive sales were recorded in South East Asia and the Middle East.

Apple Watch sales are down 55% in second quarter

Apple Watch sales fell 55 percent in the second quarter of 2016, dragging the global market for such devices lower, as potential customers hold off for an update coming later this year, according to a report from market intelligence firm IDC.

Apple Inc. sold 1.6 million watches in the second quarter of this year, down from 3.6 million units a year earlier, IDC said. Global smartwatch sales fell 32 percent to 3.5 million units.
