Breitling releases its annual Sustainability Mission Report

Breitling’s 2024 Sustainability Mission Report comes as the Swiss luxury watchmaker marks 140 years. In its fourth annual report, which proactively meets industry-leading sustain­ability and corporate transparency benchmarks, Breitling continues its commit­ment to meaningful transparency. Its report follows the guidance of the era-defining European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and encompasses the full scope of its social and environmental impact along its supply chain and its engagement with local communities. The report highlights the personal stories of individuals involved in Breitling’s sustainability journey. Additionally, it tells the story of the company’s approach to shared prosperity, from the communities of source-material suppliers to Breitling’s customers.

Introducing the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Green

TAG Heuer has introduced the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Green, a continuous representation of the racing heritage of TAG Heuer, and a second chapter in the Racing Monaco story. Every element of the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Green is inspired by historical British racing cars and their white and yellow touches. To echo this theme, the watch boasts a silver sunray-brushed dial for a timeless and elegant look, a subtle reminder of the engine-turned dashboards seen in sports cars of the 1920’s and 1930’s. The dial is adorned with eight applied, polished and silvered hour markers as well as 12 light green Super-LumiNova® dot markers, facilitating effortless time reading.

 

Maurice Lacroix unveils AIKON Automatic and AIKON Automatic Chronograph in titanium

Maurice Lacroix has unveiled additional versions of its AIKON Automatic and AIKON Automatic Chronograph, all housed in titanium. This lightweight alloy is strong, skin-friendly, not liable to corrosion and looks effortlessly cool in an urban setting. Presented in various highly fashionable colours, these new watches are packed with an array of refinements, offer day-to-day practicality, confer peerless wearer comfort and deliver a level of excellence seldom found at this price point. The AIKON Automatic is available in two variants, both of which feature a clous-de-Paris dial motif, facetted hour and minute hands, a liberal application of Super-LumiNova to aid readability in dim light, a centre seconds hand and a date indication. While the AIKON Automatic Chronograph is offered in two eye-catching dial colours: purple, with contrasting silver counters, or a golden option set with brooding black subdials.

 

Perrelet introduces the new Turbine Skull

With the new Turbine Skull, the Bienne-based brand, which dates back to 1777, confirms its love of modernity and its ability to be in tune with the times. And it is precisely this contemporary approach that drives it to find innovative technological solutions, as demonstrated by its well-known patented devices: from the Double Rotor to the Turbine technologies. The Turbine Skull is equipped with a self-winding movement designed and manufactured in-house.

 

Presenting the DENA Tourbillon regulator GMT +30 minutes

The year 2024 marks the 70th anniversary of the GMT function in the world of watchmaking. To celebrate this occasion, DENA Watch of Switzerland is unveiling its brand-new GMT +30 minutes regulator tourbillon. In some parts of the world, such as India, Australia and Venezuela, time differences mean that time zones have to be displayed with an extra 30 minutes, a function that no watch brand has yet achieved. DENA has risen to the challenge with its GMT +/-30-minute tourbillon regulator. DENA Watch Tourbillon GMT regulator 100 % SWISS MADE, one-piece 44 mm case and dial with 169 VVS1 diamonds set in a firmament on the bezel.

Now the collection’s name La Sportive makes way for 2300 – honoring the brand’s roots & looking to the future. It’s the zip code of la Chaux-de-Fonds while also hinting at upcoming years. Still a tricompax chrono, though it visually plays like a bicompax. Featuring a 44mm titanium Grade 5 case, a black ceramic bezel, a sapphire glassbox, the Valjoux 7750 movement, FKM rubber straps and a unique titanium clasp system inspired by freeride bindings enabling accurate adjustments.

 

Raymond Weil launches its Millesime collection with new models

In 2023, Raymond Weil launched the Millesime collection as a tribute to Swiss horological tradition. Aligned with the ‘neo-vintage’ trend, it blends timeless elegance – characterized by its sectorized dial and geometric lines – and refined finishes, achieving a thoughtful balance between tradition and modernity. In April 2024, marking the brand’s debut at Watches & Wonders, Raymond Weil unveiled 11 new references across three key expressions: new colorways for the 2023 GPHG award-winning model; an elegant new 35mm diameter; and two horological complications – the tri-compax chronograph and a moon phase. Today, to celebrate this first year of success, the millesime collection introduces five new 35mm creations: three models feature a central second hand, while two showcase a moon phase complication decorated with a human face radiating optimism.
