UAE tourism spend to reach $56b in 2022.
Spending within the UAE’s travel and tourism sector is expected to rise over the next five years, reaching over $56 billion (Dh205.7 billion) in 2022 as new projects come online.According to analysis from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, total spending in the sector is projected to increase 4.5 per cent year-on-year in 2017 to reach over $42 billion. |

Tiffany & Co. named Roger Farah as its chairman, effective October 2. Farah, 64, joined Tiffany's board in March 2017. Farah replaces Michael Kowalski who will remain with the company as a director. |

First time in the region Arts Patronage Award held by Montblanc de la Culture.
The Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award took place in the region for the first time. Rajeeb and Nadia Samdani, recipients of the 2017 Award were honoured at a ceremony held in Dubai to recognise their work with Dhaka Art Summit and contribution to the arts through the Samdani Art Foundation. The ceremony took place on the 13th of September at Concrete, located in Alserkal Avenue. The evening was hosted by Montblanc Cultural Foundation chairmen Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath, where the Samdanis received a Montblanc trophy and a €15,000 donation to the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. |

Audemars Piguet’s three Gold Ambassadors visit the Manufacture in Le Brassus.
Paul Dunne, Renato Paratore and Danny Willett travelled to Le Brassus, cradle of watchmaking and of Audemars Piguet, to visit the Swiss watchmaker’s workshops for the first time. After an exciting visit of the museum and of the Restauration Workshop, all three golfers tried their luck at assembling a watch movement for the first time. Following this, Audemars Piguet Chief Executive Officer and former golf professional François-Henry Bennahmias decided to challenge them at their game. |

The TAG Heuer Globetrotter exhibition opened to the public on September 15. The exhibition will run until September 30 in Dubai Mall.
