The 2008 CIBJO Congress is set to begin at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Dubai from 14 to 16 April 2008. over two and half days, the annual gathering of the World Jewellery Confederation will take stock of the challenges faced by the jewellery industry in terms of Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) in the diamond, gem and jewellery industry supply pipeline.
Among the speakers confirmed to attend are Dr. Gaetano Cavalieri, President, CIBJO; Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC); Hanifa Mezoui, Chief NGO Section, Department of Economic & Social Affairs at the United Nations and Dr. Michael Hopkins, Professor of Corporate Responsibility & Business Performance at Middlesex University, London, UK.
