The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry has published its 2024 export statistics, revealing a 5.4% decline in December and an overall 2.8% drop for the year. After two years of record-breaking growth, the industry faces challenges, particularly from the Chinese market, where economic uncertainties and shifting consumer preferences contributed to a significant decline. Exported watch volumes fell 14.5% to 5.4 million units, reinforcing the trend toward lower volumes and higher prices.
