The Chinese zodiac, or Sheng Xiao (??), is a repeating 12-year cycle of animal signs and their ascribed attributes, based on the lunar calendar. In order, the zodiac animals are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig.

The Ox is the second of all zodiac animals. 
The Ox is also associated with the Earthly Branch.
Oxen are the hard workers in the background, intelligent and reliable, but never demanding praise.
In Chinese culture, the Ox is a valued animal. Because of its role in agriculture.

2021 is a year of the Ox according to the Chinese zodiac, starting from February 12th 2021 and lasting until January 31st, 2022.
