Richemont's Profit +52 percent

Richemont Group has reported 21 percent increase in sales year on year to $6.49 billion in the six months that ended on September 30.  Total profit rose 52 percent to $1.37 billion. The total sales of jewelry divisions of Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, ?rose by 20 percent to $3.31 Billion while the revenue of the watch division increased by ??25 percent to $1.85 billion. In a recent statement issued by the Group, Johan Rupert will step down as the chief executive of Richemont on March 31, and shall be replaced by Bernard Fornas and Richard Lepeu as joint executives.
