Retail revenue at Abu Dhabi Duty Free reached a total of Dh912.7 million during 2013 marking a 13 per cent increase compared to 2012 according to Abu Dhabi Airports statement. The most popular product categories purchased were beauty products, fragrances, watches, gold, and diamonds. Abu Dhabi Airport is set to open a new Midfield Terminal Building in 2017. The terminal is expected to grow the Abu Dhabi Duty Free business to over Dh1.5 billion each year, according to Abu Dhabi Airport.
