Dior’s latest timepiece, the ‘Dior Christal’ designed and created by John Galliano was launched in the Middle East at a dazzling ceremony recently held in the UAE by Valerie Lachaux, President, Dior Watches.
More than 70 especially invited guests, including royalty, leading socialites, the country’s glitterati, company officials and media assembled at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Dubai to witness the truly innovative and creative watch fashioned by Galliano who describes it as a “rock n’ roll watch, which has the edge and strength of a man and the delicacy and sparkle of a woman”. According to Galliano, for the first time, sapphire crystal has been used as a decorative element in the watch.
A highlight of the evening was a tombola that provided the lucky winner, in this instance Mrs. Alana Al Falah, the opportunity to win a diamond set bezel and full sapphire bracelet ‘Dior Christal’ watch.
Among the attendees were Sheikha Amal Al Qassimi, Tala Abdul Rehman, Director of Dior Boutique in Dubai and Brigitte Lefebvre, the Christian Dior Delegate for the Middle East.
