Taking place at the Bvlgari Resort Dubai from January 13 to 15, the LVMH Watch Week Dubai 2020 is showcasing the exceptional strength, creativity and innovation of the Group’s watchmaking brands: Bvlgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith.
The new event held for the first time in Dubai, is an early barometer of the watch industry’s mood as the new decade begins.
The LVMH Watch Week Dubai 2020 was motivated by the S.I.H.H. change and by the decision to reschedule Baselworld, the struggling Swiss watch fair formerly held in March, to open April 30, immediately after Watches & Wonders.
The event kicked off with a welcome press conference held in the garden of the Bvlgari Hotel Yacht Club. In attendance were Stéphane Bianchi, CEO of the LVMH Watchmaking Division and CEO of TAG Heuer, Jean-Christophe Babin, Bvlgari CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO, and Julien Tornare, Zenith CEO.
Over 120 members of the international media retail partners and customers a unique experience, were able to see new chronographs and iconic models for 2020.

Bvlgari’s Serpenti with a Tourbillon

Bvlgari introduced its latest novelties at the LVMH Watch Week Dubai 2020. The indisputable highlight of the 2020 debuts is the new Serpenti Seduttori Tourbillon, a unique small-sized women’s tourbillon specially designed to fit inside the sleek dimensions of the serpent-head case of the latest incarnation of Bvlgari’s most iconic watch, Serpenti.

For men, the record-breaking Bvlgari Octo Finissimo collection continues to break the mold of Swiss watchmaking with the launch of five new models. One highlight of Dubai 2020 is the new Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater in rose gold, powered by the ultra-thin 3.12mm Mechanical Manufacture Minute Repeater movement with manual winding, BVL 362 caliber.
Octo Finissimo channels that rare fusion of edgy Italian design and Swiss engineering with the introduction of two new satin-polished non-monochromatic timepieces: the Octo Finissimo Automatic Satin-Polished Steel and the Octo Finissimo Automatic Satin-Polished Rose Gold. These are both powered by the 2.23mm thick BVL 138 Finissimo caliber and feature a polished black lacquer dial, fitted in the sophisticated Finissimo case. The rose gold edition comes on an alligator strap, perfectly integrated and complemented with a pin buckle.
The Octo saga presents its next chapter with the unveiling of the Octo Finissimo Automatic in Black Sandblast-Polished Ceramic, featuring a new sandblast-polished ceramic case and bracelet and sandblasted ceramic dial.

Zenith places women in spotlight

Zenith embarks on the debut edition of LVMH Watch Week with a new kind of innovation in its DEFY collection with DEFY Midnight, a uniquely conceived line of women’s watches with a dreamy, cosmic touch. In addition, the new Elite collection redefines the codes of 21st century watchmaking for the ultimate in contemporary elegance.
With its new creations dedicated entirely to women, Zenith is elevating both ends of the spectrum of women’s watches. On one side, the resolutely contemporary DEFY Midnight and on the other, the timelessly elegant Elite collection.
For its first purely feminine watch, Zenith sought inspiration from the cosmos when creating the DEFY Midnight, a versatile sporty-chic timepiece with a uniquely celestial dial, conceived with free-spirited women in mind.

Housed in a 36mm stainless steel case embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds, the dial of the DEFY Midnight gives Zenith’s “time to reach your star” philosophy a literal, visual manifestation. Available in deep blue or grey colors, the dial features a glossy finish with a vertical gradient effect for an unprecedented depth.
The DEFY Midnight features an assortment of bracelets and straps that can easily be swapped by the wearer, allowing the DEFY Midnight to adapt itself to different looks and situations. The integrated stainless steel bracelet as well as a selection of colored satin and leather straps with rubber backing can be swapped by means of a quick strap-change mechanism integrated directly onto the back of the straps, and requiring no tools or special skills for the owner to do on her own, be it for a change of seasons or just a change of outfit. Each DEFY Midnight will come in a special box that includes 3 additional colored straps and an interchangeable folding clasp.
