How do you describe the DNA of Mauron Musy?

Read our tag line ‘Innovative watch engineering’. It’s definitely our DNA as what we really want to make most advanced mechanical performance watches. We work every day to explore new technologies to ensure there is no need for after sale service for our products it so it’s our DNA to make an innovative watch. 

How did the nO-Ring technology innovation helped in promoting your brand?

We spoke about the DNA so the design in fact comes from the technology. We can explain why the watch design the way it is and this reassures the client that no after sales service is necessary when he buys our watch.

Design, precision, functionality or material - what comes first for Mauron Musy and why?

Functionality is always first. It ensures the precision of the watch and influences the choice of material and the design elements. 

How important is it for a luxury brand to be engaged in sustainability? And how do you value the new Blockchain and the crypto currency trend for your brand?

We make some saving by going digital especially in some countries like Japan and United States. We did evaluate the possibilities of this crypto currency and we found something very interesting. We will probably use that on our website and we keep learning and are open to this new technology. As for Blockchain I don’t know if we can do something but we have association with one of the companies who’s doing the Blockchain. Regarding sustainability, we have a label that is called Swiss Trusted, which means that 100 percent of the components have to be made in Switzerland. It means that the watch is entirely made within a radius of 60 kilometer of our manufacture.

Where would the next big expansion plan for the brand be? 

As you know we are a very young manufacture and the Covid-19 pandemic, was not at all good for business in particular in 2020.  Our plan was for expansion in Europe and Middle East. We are still on with our plan as we feel these two regions, Middle East and Europe, are the right markets for us.

We have witnessed a new genderless trend in the market. Mauron Musy appears as a very masculine and sporty brand.  How do you intend to promote your brand among female customers?

We have a plan to have a new watch for next year. This watches will be 44mm and 41mm and more delicate but the DNA remains the same. We will certainly make mechanical watches that women can actually wear with pride.
