Qatar’s Al Jaber watches launches indigenous Swiss manufactured JBR watch brand; opens first boutique in Bahrain

Established in the Souq Waqef in Doha, Qatar in 1958 by Yusuf Jaber Mohammed Al-Jaber, Al Jaber Watches has evolved spectacularly to become the oldest and leading purveyor of premium Swiss watches in the country. At a specially convened Press conference held at the Al Ilwan Ballroom in the Bahrain Sheraton Hotel to commemorate the brand’s golden (50^th) anniversary on the eve of Jewellery Arabia 2008, Mohamed Yousef Al-Jaber, CEO & Managing Partner, Al Jaber Watches recounted the brand’s growth over last five decades and presented the Swiss made ‘JBR’ watch brand, the in-house watch collection within the Group.

“With the introduction of JBR watches, particularly the uniquely styled JBR (Dakar) combining Qatari identity with Swiss style, the best selection of Swiss made timepieces are available in for discerning buyers in Qatar. Maintaining an edge over competition involves exploring new ideas and taking risks,” remarked Mohammed Yusuf Al-Jaber in an address to the assembled media. The company also offers accessories including diamonds, cuff links, pens and fine writing instruments. Among its franchise brands are Raymond Weil, Candino, Pierre Cardin, Jaguar, Carven, Jovial, Optima, Carrera, Rodania, Bruno Banani, Markato & Christian Jacques. Nasser Al Attiyah, the international rally champion is the Brand Ambassador for JBR Watches.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mohamed Yousef Al-Jaber, CEO & Managing Partner, Al Jaber Watches has announced the opening of the brand’s first boutique at the Bahrain City Centre Mall in the Kingdom.
