The 26th India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) is poised for yet another successful edition, when the nations and indeed the Asian continents biggest jewellery show, is officially inaugurated at the NSE Grounds in the Western suburb of Goregaon of the countrys commercial capital Mumbai, on Thursday, 6 August 2009. Over the 5day period, 6 to 10 August, the 46,000 sq. m. IIJS 2009 will play host to 1554 stalls representing 650 national & international exhibitors and country pavilions from the UAE, Turkey, Thailand, Belgium and Italy among others. Over 20,000 international and domestic registrations (and counting) have been received to date. IIJS 2009 is organized by the 1966established Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India that operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The exhibition is expected to attract over 30,000 trade visitors.
