Renowned pieces by Cartier, Breguet to feature in Bonhams’ first auction in the Middle East

Prominent, 1793-established British Auction House Bonhams, the 3rd largest International Auction House & one of the oldest fine art auctioneers in the world will hold its first auction of coveted watches & jewellery alongside Persian & South Asian Art in Dubai on 4 March 2008. Unique jewellery pieces by the renowned House of Cartier and exceptional timepieces from Breguet and Franck Muller will be going under the hammer as interest is high across the region for classic jewellery and outstanding timepieces, according to Matthew Girling, CEO, Bonhams Europe & Middle East.

Other items of interest include a Colombian emerald estimated at USD 500,000 and a Hublot chronograph watch made of rare 18 carat rose gold and ceramic with platinum & diamond set bezel. Bonhams Dubai was recently set up as a joint venture with the locally based Al Tajir Family.
