The Swatch Group has announced its full takeover of watch wheel & component firm Francois Golay SA, previously owned by Jean-Marc Berney and Yves Berney. Swatch previously has a 35.0 % stake in the firm. As a result of the takeover, Jean-Marc Berney will become the Managing Director and the 100 employees will be retained, thereby ensuring continuity. Francois Golay’s clients include Breguet SA, Blancpain SA, Frederic Piguet SA and other Swatch companies.
