Nikki Schoorl, a Dubai Internet City based Senior Legal Assistant with Al Tamimi & Co., a Pan Gulf Law Firm, was declared the winner of a superb Chopard watch from among e-voters of this year’s Premier Middle East Watches, Jewellery & Pens Awards initiated and conducted by MPParabia. The winner was determined randomly by computer.
A special media campaign was orchestrated through a series of bilingual advertisements in both English and Arabic encouraging readers to log on to the website www.mpparabia.com and vote via the on-line mechanism especially put in place to ensure fairness, transparency and objectivity. The voters in the region turned out in large numbers to cast their vote over a three day period, 1 to 3 November 2007. At the close of the on-line polls 11,590 votes were cast and the entire process was monitored by external auditors.
The winning Chopard watch was presented to Nikki Schoorl at a simple ceremony held at the Chopard stand at the recently concluded Dubai International Jewellery Week. The watch was presented to Nikki by Rolf D. Kruschel, International Sales Coordinator, Chopard in the presence of Nader Freiha, Director, MPParabia. “It has been a wonderful experience participating in the e-voting and for me very rewarding as well. Thank you Chopard and thank you MPParabia,” concluded Nikki after receiving her cherished prize.
“Chopard is proud to associate with the Premier Middle Watches, Jewellery & Pens Awards 2008 Edition in conjunction with MPParabia as it represents the ultimate and finest in high end luxury products that have a mass and endearing appeal with consumers in the region.
