Dubai airport records 8.9 percent increase in passenger traffic in H1

Dubai International Airport has recorded 8.9 percent increase in the first half of the year with 4.1 million compared to 3.8 million in the same period in 2010. Dubai Airport as the world's fourth busiest airport handled 24.6 million passengers up from 22.6 million passengers in the first six months of last year, it said in a statement. Average monthly passenger traffic in the first half of 2011 stands at 4.1 million compared with 3.8 million in the same period last year. Passenger numbers at Dubai International Airport are set to exceed 75 million by 2015, Dubai Airports said.
