Dubai has achieved a new milestone in international tourism, attracting 18.72 million overnight visitors in 2024 - a 9% increase compared to the previous year. This growth surpasses the earlier record of 17.15 million visitors set in 2023, as reported by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). The impressive rise in tourism is driven by strong local and global partnerships, innovative marketing campaigns, and major events. These initiatives align with the D33 agenda, which aims to double Dubai's economic size by 2033. Additionally, Dubai’s exceptional performance underscores its status as the world’s top city for foreign direct investment (FDI) in tourism, according to the Financial Times Ltd’s ‘fDi Markets’ data for the first half of 2024.
