The latest Christies auction of Jewels and watches in Dubai realized USD $ 3.9 million. The highest price of the evening was paid for a pair of Asscher-cut diamond ear pendants weighing 15.19 carats and 15.04 carats which sold for USD $ 518,500. A diamond necklace by Mouawad sold for USD $ 122,500. We saw strong demand from Middle East collectors who competed with international collectors and a record number of online bidders. Watches also continue to be in great demand and we sold 42 of the 46 watches on offer, stated David Warren, Director of Jewellery, Christies Dubai.
