The first manned lunar landing on 20 July 1969 was one of the greatest, most dramatic scientific achievements in human history. Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moons surface at 02.56 GMT on 21 July 1969. Nineteen minutes later, he was joined by Edwin Buzz Aldrin, who was wearing his Omega Speedmaster. Now to commemorate this historic accomplishment, Omega is celebrating the first moon landing by issuing two limited edition watches—the Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Apollo 1140th Anniversary Limited Edition watches in stainless steel (7,969 pieces) and the other in platinum & 18carat yellow gold (69 pieces).
