Brazilian jeweller H. Stern has announced that it plans to expand its operations in the Middle East in conjunction with its UAE-based partner Azal Jewellers, part of the multi-faceted Al Tayer Group and other exclusive distributors in the GCC countries. Two additional locations are expected to open shortly in the UAE to top the current established presence of four outlets in Dubai (including the Harvey Nichols store in Dubai) and one in Abu Dhabi.

In the Spring of 2006 three shops are slated to open in Saudi Arabia with leading local retailer Al Moallim and additional outlets are expected to open in Qatar. This will bring the total number of retail points in the Gulf to 13 by the close of 2006.

The Middle East expansion plans of the sixty-year old manufacturer / retailer are part of the company’s worldwide growth strategy for 2006 which has witnessed rapid sales increases in Europe, North America and in Russia and the CIS countries, thereby positioning the company as a leading contemporary jeweller among today’s top luxury brand.
